Darren at drip said his shipment has arrived at the port so shouldn't be too much longer.

Yeah, he was hoping they would be here end of next week, but I'm a little skeptical on that. I think realistically, getting out of the port and across the country will probably take longer then a week (probably 2).

Hey team,
Hows all your FLux going? We need some more pics!

Quick question, is Apple Find my supported by the hardware fitted to the Flux? I cant see it as an option on my app. I had assumed it was, and whilst it wasnt the reason I went the Avinox route, it was a feature I was looking forward too using. On the main app screen it does show a location map with heading "Security" and the bikes location but not sure how its getting that location to my phone, probably just Bluetooth.

Edit- Might of found my answer
'The DP100 supports a 4G SIM card. While the DPC100 does not support a SIM card, it is compatible with Apple Find My, provided the respective e-bike manufacturer has completed Apple certification."

I can provide a Flux frame set image, but as far as giving an answer B Rabbit with your the tech question, l am quietly seated, l will be keen to hear the responses.

Pushys had a dramatic price drop recently on full frame Camo frame skin, $25. A pack, ordered 2 packs, was't sure how camo on black would turn out.... this all took me out of focus, sticking bits here and there becoming a mosaic game of pin the tail on the donkey, with so many camo pieces to choose from and with plenty of camo leftovers.

Negative on the chainline misalignment, still out 2-3mm and I don’t think there is anything I can do about it. I have an inquiry in with the Aussie Teewing brand manager so will see what he comes back with.

In other news the chain dropped of the idler today and jammed itself up pretty good. Had to break the chain to get it out. I’ll check my chain length tomorrow, I am running a very well used 11 speed sram unit, maybe the clutch is worn out and let the chain get outta control, still, never dropped a chain on the Spesh Enduro it was installed on before.
Love the bike, it rips, coil shock feels way better then the air, but I’ll have a tinker with the air to see if I can close the gap.
I can’t believe how quiet the motor is, was riding with a mate on a Levo 4 and I could hear his motor as we rode next to each other but not mine.

I wondered on wether the misalignment to the chain line could potentially throw a chain. Clearly you can see the chain misalignment and then intern gave to the effect of fault and not yours.

Were we given answers to what caused the large frames to be delayed?.... Anyways mate by the sounds you've given clearly to the powers to be, you will be looked after.

Noticed you have the air shock, great a coil works sweet, are you running a progressive coil? l found it never being consistent to have that supple small bump plushness with air shocks, that said l will be running the air at first, the coil is going for a service, but l really want to give the air a good run.

Its good to hear you comment up there highly to your thoughts how this bike rips.... l cant wait to get this rolling and l actually met a guy riding one at my local last weekend, he said he had the 24 Norco Range not as stable as the Flux even in the short CS, but was recommended to lower the stem near flush too the HS top cup.

Taking frame to be assembled with the suspension tech on Monday, with more days of rain predicted, will take to the shovel at the local.... anticipating on a call alls in order to get go.

My Flux has perfect chainline, and the chain runs super smooth. Since changing the bent cage, the shifting is so quiet and smooth. And as you say. The motor is super quiet. Much quieter than my Amflow.

I think you need to get your idler alignment looked at Rabbit.

Apart from bending my derailleur cage on the first ride, which was my fault, not the bike. The bike has been brilliant. It's just so buttery smooth over bumps.

  1. Did the chain fall to the inboard or outboard side of the idler?
  2. If the gap between the idler and surrounding chainstay is unequal on each side, did it fall to the side with the bigger gap or the smaller one (I looked at your pics in an earlier post and it looked like the gap was bigger on the outboard side, but it was tough to tell)?
  3. If I understand the problem correctly, the chainring sits a few MM inboard of the idler (i.e. the chainring has a 55mm chainline, but the idler is more like 57mm+), correct?

If the chain indeed fell inboard, as if it was seeking alignment with the chainring, then, if it were my bike, I'd probably pick up an inexpensive chainring to use on the stock spider, with spacers to get it lined up with the idler, at least until an official solution comes from Teewing.

If the chain fell outboard, and there is indeed a bigger gap between the stay and idler on that side, I'd consider adding some material to supplement the built in rubber frame protection and act as a more comprehensive chain guide to keep it tracking straight onto the idler.

That is very charitable of you to consider that your clutch might be to blame, and more tension is generally better when it comes to keeping chains from derailing, but it seems unlikely to me that it is the root cause. Any slack on the bottom run of chain would need to be translated around either the chainring or cassette in order to generate excess slack at the idler. If the chain fell of the bottom section of the chainring, then then I'd certainly consider the clutch as a potential culprit.

1. Chain fell outboard
2. From memory the gap is fairly equal
3. Yes, Idler sits outside the chainring by a few mm, maybe 3.

Yes, I was very surprised to see the chain come off the idler, it just looks super secure. I dont suspect the idler being slightly off the 55mm chainline would effect holding the chain or not as the chain cross coming from either the low or high gear on the cassette would dwarf that.
And re suggesting the derailluer could of played a part, just want to be as charitable as possible as this could of just been a random one off event and until/if other people start having the same problem it could definitely be some sort of setup issue on my end.

A quick search of FB does show someone having a problem dropping the chain off the idler, according to the OP Teewing sent out a different "high pivot screw" (might be a slight translation problem there).

I will report back if the problem persists :)

Teewing (DJI Avinox) Owners Club - TWOC I bought this bike but the chain has come off multipl...webp

Teething issues aside, just want to iterate how awesome this bike is. Apart from a bit more adjustment in the chainstay department I dont think there is a thing id change on it. It rips! (both up and down)

On technical terrain. The Flux is second to none. But on trail rides like riding the Centenary Trail. At 20kgs, the lightness of the Amflow is just a bit better. But there's not much in it. Where as on downhill technical, the Flux is just so far ahead of the Amflow.

But I definitely will use my Amflow when riding with my partner. She doesn't do Technical.

But so far so good. I can thoroughly recommend the Flux as a downhill plough. And with the M2S. It does seem to climb well. Just not as well as a full power SL EMTB like the Amflow Pro.
