I imagine any custom modes you create would just default to the standard M2S response settings.
I'm not really sure, Rob mentioned that the rs tune is always on.
Have a look at post #191.

Have a look at post #131 , as well in the custom modes

The motor system has strong merits, but to behave as if the Avinox is meaningfully functionally better than the competitors outside of looks and above Class 1 power levels, is dishonest imo.
The Gen 5 already offers best in class efficiency, reliability, quietness, serviceability, feature laden, etc.

I'm piecing together commonly known facts and forming the obvious opinion. I don't derive ANY of my personal ego or security based on how strangers on the internet view my e-bike motor system
Idk bro. Seems like ego here but what do I know, I’m apparently dishonest.

The market has already decided the answer to this.

Coulda / woulda / shoulda - doesnt matter - horse has bolted.
From a product marketing perspective, do you go after DJI now using their own strategy (power, size, slim battery, controller) now that they grabbed this kind of momentum? Especially now that Avinox has opened up their platform for customization (at least on the software front) and that we are starting to see what a fully integrated platform from them starts to look like? The Bosch platform is hermetically sealed; absolutely nothing about it allows a bike maker to change its personality.

Bosch does need to update their platform, but they are on the heels of a large motor design change from Gen 4 to 5. Whatever they do now should not involve changing motor mounts again. And what about Shimano? It's amazing that they seem to have left the theater, with the existing Rise the only bike that has (for now) kept the Shimano flame alive. It's just not healthy not having at least 3 strong competitors to choose from.

It's going to require a deep pocket competitor to commit to some powerful new tech for some kind of changeup. Maybe a compact TQ100 from left field or perhaps an effective motor-transmission unit to stir things up. It better happen soon as the cement is drying fast.

Also, influencers say Axinox is better power delivery (excluding Alex), then Orbea changes power delivery dramatically (5x more responsive!) to more closely mimic Bosch power delivery and suddenly influencers have been trying to get more response from the Avinox and THIS is now in fact better.

Just saying...
I find the Bosch too reactive, just spins the rear when starting on anything lose or steep so not necessarily a good thing. Needs the power controlled. I'd have to ride these bikes back to back to feel the difference in the tunes but I'm hoping Rob will do that for us!

Just gotta adjust Dynamic to -2, pretty easy fix

I put together a quick geometry comparison of the Wild LT in L with a few bikes I currently ride and really like in terms of handling. My bikes are heavily modified though (e.g. a full 29er Kenevo and the Enduro converted to mullet with an MRP link), so keep that in mind. I also included the Atherton since it’s widely regarded as having excellent handling. The table is mainly relevant for anyone looking at the Wild LT in size M or L, but maybe some of you will still find it useful.

Atherton front travel is 180

I haven't had that experience but that could be tire, trail conditions, rear suspension, settings, or just preferences, etc. that contributes to our different experiences.

I'm not very picky honestly about the power delivery, the only thing is that I really dislike any overrun. In the end, I copied Alex's Bosch power modes exactly and I have been totally happy with the options. Maybe check that out.

I just took a mates zendit out with an m2s, I was quite surprised how unreactive it was, as soon as I let off the pedals to get over a step or root, took a couple of revolutions for the torque to cut in again, really killed the momentum.

TQ has the chance to become that 3rd big contender assuming Shimano has given up. If they make a full power or near full power (What used to be full power anyway) motor in the 90-100Nm range and can keep their small profile motor with a nice slim battery I honestly see them stealing a good chunk of Bosch’s business. For anyone not obsessed with having the biggest total wattage numbers they could emerge as the more refined/natural/silent/“barely know it’s there” option with a decent sized battery that has all the same aesthetics of Avinox.
