Quite the email from Darren at drip this morning. Makes me wonder if people who did get their frames already will have to be recalled? Or maybe shipping is just that much faster to Australia which seems to be the only place that has them already and those were fixed ones. Sounds like that could be the case. Glad my order was a custom build so it should be frame only and in that earlier shipment (Hopefully).
What was the deal with the email, and what is the story with the potential problem, that would necessitate a fix/recall? I have seen a few references online, but no details. I've been waiting for some more real world user experiences to come in before ordering one myself, and if there is going to be a big delay due to needing to fix a flaw in the frame, then that will potentially figure into my calculus.

I'm curious as well. Still not sure if I want to pay in full just to wait 6-8 weeks, but if there are other issues I may just wait. This has been a terrible rollout for the new Avinox bikes.

My large was one of the delayed frames but it was only delayed 2-3 weeks, hardly dramatic.
Are people experiencing longer delays?

This is all they said “a recall issue with the Flux. It didn’t effect every Flux, but all of our bikes were recalled because we had the very first production run. The issue with the motor mount bolt on the frame, as Teewing moved the production run to a new factory”

So something that was caught very early on with a subset of frames, doesn’t sound like any affected bikes got into anyone’s hands, at least not in the US.

Hello! Can you show the full text of the letter you received? Thanks!

Ok. I'm sick of waiting for the full cover Ride Wrap to arrive. Still listed as waiting in design.

So I've patched the graphics with a sheet of Ride Wrap I bought 2 years ago, to protect the most vulnerable areas. Fitted ride wrap on the fork lowers. Fitted the mudguards. Fitted the Water Bottle. And I've booked in with some of the most technical riders in my club, for this Saturday.

It's time to get it very dirty. The Flux will be put through its most thorough test. Full report to come. I'll try and get some pics.

Is that a Medium?

Thx. If it speeds up the process, I would be very appreciative. Just so many man hours in the graphics. Hate to damage it. But I've had the bike 4 weeks, and only ridden it on concrete.
Already had a message back saying its in the works and they don't need to see this frame. So hoping it's done soon (as I need a kit too) 🤣

Well done on the rig, looking great primed ready to roll...... has it been 4wks.

While iv been pretending to be patient knowing the outlaw Flux frame committed to interrogation stranded in isolation.... 4wks yeah.... but hell yeah better than 6months.... 👊

Yep! The wait is over, received news this arvo from Pushys, NSW Certification on Flux is over, freedom to soon attend the labours of ploughing the elements of stone and dirt..... Y E ⚡⚡⚡

So, my build is done. Stripped down my enduro bike and used the parts off it. Waiting on a 50mm rise one up bar, might get a Zeb later on. Did a full custom ride wrap/ppf, as well as a green/gold colour shift ppf to brighten it up a little, pops in the sun, but its cloudy out today. Running 11 speed X01, did the hong kong vpn hack to get 45kph. Space got pretty tight above the motor with foam tubing wrapped around all the cables. Build was straight forward and this leaves nothing behind in terms of build quality to my Spesh Sworks Enduro, maybe even better.

I would recommend checking you linkages for grease, whilst i'm a habitual over greaser, they looked done dry.

Love how it turned out!

Hey team,
Can people check on the idler if there is a small space as pictured? I might need to re install mine, everything seems tight, but there is a .5-1mm gap, just wanted to check if its normal. Its torqued up correctly.

Looks neat nice touch with green 👍 where to follow in with the vpn hack ? thanks for to grease tip with linkages.... bet its rides plush and with small bump compliance....

Well ........ first serious ride, first derailleur cage destroyed. I have a spare cage, but I just fitted the one off the SRAM 90 that came with the bike, and perfect shifting has returned.

Pic with SRAM S1000 AXS derailleur and SRAM 90 cage.

Leaving a like didn’t seem sufficient, just to say that looks great and not surprised you’re loving it! 👍🏻

So first ride in the bag, I’d say it does exactly what it says on the tin. Smooth and supple rear suspension, motor is border line comical going up fire roads but still so sensitive and controlled when you need it to be. Also shocked how quiet the motor is, it’s crazy.

I’ve got a slight misalignment between the idler and chainring and well as a little gap in the bolt that holds it together, I assume it’s related.
Tires are only EXO and feel a bit squirmy, I’ve got some Spesh radials on order that should solve that.
100% awesome bike, if you are looking for a long travel M2S powered bike, I don’t think you’ll do much better then this, let alone after taking pricing into account!

Just do some googling on it, but I downloaded the Avinox app, then got a vpn on the phone and set it to hongkong, turned off my wifi, then paired the phone to the bike and hey presto, 32 and 45kph unlocked!
