Maybe not, but when you can hear the rattle over a cassette and wind noise, you know it's loud. That's just how mine sounds. Like dragging a string with cans attached to it when going over any bumps. Not the best sound recording...

I was bored and asked ChatGPT to count the no of unique users in this thread that had rattle issues, it counted 10. Given this thread is the top result on Google for M2S rattle and Rob's "testimony", I wouldn't worry too much for an average e-MTB buyer. How concerned should a potential new Meyer be about the rattle on the MS2? I’m a casual weekend Warrior riding 8 to 12 miles each Saturday and Sunday on flat trails in South Florida no real climbing just punchy, black diamonds, switchback, etc. 225lb so a little heavier than normal riders.
I was considering the PR carbon, Ari wire peak 3.0, propain ekano 3 and teewing.. prefer a mullet set up. All the rattle noises are a little concerning… I wonder if I should just switch to the Bosch maybe the SC Vala? I also worry a little bit about Support with all these bikes not having a huge US presence.
It’s only been 2 months since release. Reading this thread, I thought there were maybe 3–4 cases, but 10 is a freakishly high number for such a short period of time.I was bored and asked ChatGPT to count the no of unique users in this thread that had rattle issues, it counted 10. So just got a call his morning and my M2S motor has been accepted for warranty, here is what it sounds like in the stand not under any load.So no one been in contact with dji/avinox regarding the rattle?
I don't have motor rattle, my issue is different.Aren't you all cherry picking, to notice that Motor rattle?
Between trail noise (Tires/Wheels, Chain Slap, due to rocks and roots), plus the brake noise (not the squicky sound, but yet the Brake Pads rubbing while braking), the suspension noise (hydraulic), and you still notice motor rattle?
Having a CX4, I found the M1 seriously silent!
And after all miles using the CX4, I start not earing my motor rattle, but can notice imediatly any issues (like a loose chain guide).
What were your last ebike motor? Was it more silent that Avinox?
I will check, and yes you are right, because I change a sprocket to 36, and setup the derailleur on 7th cog (red) and I have to setup on 6th (my mistake). Then I will check the rattle...Does the rattle happen in all gears or only the small cogs like 8th to 12. The sound is very very similar to a derailleur that has a clutch that is a bit loose and causes a rattle.
With the recent verified, raspy motor that didn't rattle how many actually confirmed issues are there. One recent rattle complaint sounds like a dodgy derailleur and is yet to be determined .10 is a freakishly high number for such a short period of time.
Cherry picking, no. Aside from this motor rattle, the bike is near silent going over bumps. There is no chain slap, there is no suspension rattle or clunking, there is no cable chatter and there shouldn't be any noise aside from tire and cassette. So when the motor makes a medium frequency clicking which reverberates through the carbon frame, it's quite annoying. Even more so when the manufacture used the silent nature of this motor as a selling point.Aren't you all cherry picking, to notice that Motor rattle?

Assuming at this point you've contacted Crestline (or whichever company's bike you are riding) and they have in turn contacted Avinox, what is the formal warranty disposition of your issue? Avinox treating the rasping issue above under warranty does not apply, IMO as it sounds like an unrelated issue and more conducive to warranty care.Cherry picking, no. I haven't. I'm in the middle of closing a business, handling my late mother's estate, selling a house, selling a building and moving across country while rehabbing from ACL surgery. As annoying as the rattle is, I still have priorities.Assuming at this point you've contacted Crestline (or whichever company's bike you are riding) and they have in turn contacted Avinox, what is the formal warranty disposition of your issue? Nobody so far who has experienced this rattle issue has come forth on this forum, AFAIK, with a formal response from Avinox on this issue.

The knee is good, after 13 months, it's healed enough to not limit me. The lack of strength in my quads, hams and glutes is what limits me. As soon as they fatigue, all the pressure goes to the knee joint. So it's just working it out, letting it rest,... rinse and repeat. get enough protein and sleep. LoL.Quit being so lazy! LOL
Things will get better. How's the knee? I'm 1 week out from surgery and mine still feels worse than when I went in.
