I have not ridden any of the models but looking at the specs I saw nothing to persuade me to swop out my E160 RSX! The entry level model looks good value for someone starting out with EMTB.
Apart from the newer Bosch kit the biggest claim to fame for the Kado according to Whyte is the very low centre of balance.
Personally I am more interested in the E Lyte EVO as a more trail oriented partner to my E160 RSX.

I've just got the Kado S, can't compare to anything else really as this is my first ebike.
Did do some digging on it and can confirm that the Kado S doesn't have the Purion 400 display but it does have the y cable fitted inside the down tube. So just needs the retrofit kit to add it.
As expected the tyres are the weak point really on it with having the dual compound version of the assegai and dhr2. So with that change and going tubeless should be pretty capable. Preferred the feel of riding to the cube one77 when I demo'd both.

I've heard good things, however I can't decide between the Kado RS or the e-lyte 150 works as it's on offer and only £500 difference

I get that, but surely the e-lyte 150 works at the same price as a Kado rs is a better buy ? Would I really notice the difference riding with people with full powers? I've never ridden the sx motor but is it not a case of just riding at a higher cadence. I only ever ride my full motor on trail never boost.
It depends what motor you are using right now. If you look at the input power from the rider to the motor power produced on velomotion Dyno reviews you will see that different makes act very differently. For example an ep801 makes way more power for 100w input than the Bosch CX/sx. I think the best thing would be to have a ride on both and see what you prefer. I demo'd a high end orbea rise and to be honest I wasn't sensitive for the extra weight of the Kado S. I thought I would be but in the end it didn't matter for me.
I was checking out the Whyte ELyte Evo RS , with the GEN 5 upgrade also , I like the idea of that more , prices dropping too , cheapest I have seen is @ mtb monster @ £5999, down from the £7250,
Same......I enquired about an EVO and if no part ex and cash payment, the price came down to £6500. In the end I kept my RSX and bought a levo comp ....just for trail riding.

I've had the rsx now for a few weeks. Amazing bike! Handels like a dream. So good at climbing, and goes down hill like a monster. So much of a better riding experience than my Canyon Spectral on I had previously. No regrets !

I think I can see you are trying to flip it on Facebook for a lot more already too? Yeah i did ride it a few times but i got a druid and having two bikes is pointless for me. We'll see how it does, if worst comes to worst i'll break it for parts as the spec is insane.

Yeah its off one my riding buddies so was a mates deal, he had it up for £3900 but didnt want to deal with buyers, i think he just wanted to get rid of it as easy as possible. I rode it twice then serviced it as his left it in his garage for ages, its alot of fun but like other guy said battery isnt for everyone and i got a 800wh druid already.
