Pic of the Day

indeed! she had Plastic pins for years, then went to metal - I shall offer her the plastic option again!
(although to be fair she has more scars than Colonel Steve Austin)
I handed over my butterfly stitches to a young lad bleeding in the mud a while back - I didn't have my reading glasses with me
he handed them back soaked in ketchup  I need to buy some more!!!
For those of us on blood thinners it becomes a bit more critical. I freaked out my wife once, when I returned from a ride, and she saw the ketchup steam from cheek/eye area all the way to my belly button. Thank goodness for riding glasses 🤓.

You must have been really hot 😁

Today was a windy day at the bike park. So just riding in the middle of the forest and safety jumps.

It doesnt just happen with flats .My Time Atac pedal taking its name literally when I thought I was clipped in and launched off a small drop to start riding again .Not only did it do damage to the rear of my leg but also smacked me on my shin which hurt more ..the blood spurting out was quite impressive and I was grateful to Wayne & Richy for bandaging it up before riding 5 miles back to the car then straight to hospital where it was decided that this should heal from the inside out ..instead of stitches...following a consultation at another hospital 30 miles away the following morning ...
My missus still believes they didnt know the full extent of the damage as it was a bit of a mess..hence the lovely scar as a reminder !

30 years ago I had a girlfriend who really wanted a Karmen Ghia. I searched for a good one but never found one. We split up. A few weeks later someone contacted me about one so I went to see it. It was fantastic, so I bought it and gave it her anyway as I'd spent so long looking.

She loves it and has really looked after it. Yesterday she called me to ask if I could give her a lift to collect it from being upholstered.

The seats were rebuilt at the same time so you don't sit on the floor now.

What an amazing job ! 🤩

I saw a program about it where it was described as having finer lines than a Ferrari. Even with only 30 hp, not the most comfortable seats and almost no buttons on the dashboard, it sold a lot because customers prioritized slowly cruising around for cheap.
The value has probably doubled ten times in 30 years.
