Pic of the Day

Someone shot up the new bathroom again. This time they had rifle (or maybe a .45 pistol up close?) and a shotgun. Still didn’t get through the door which is a testament.

Balanced out the destruction with a pic of a ridge line on Red Mountain Rush.

Riding with my youngest daughter, best times ❤️. And after four years of riding emtb`s I have realized that riding trails on eco mode and low pace can be fun too 😂View attachment 183535

Continuing with the daylight-saving after work night rides on my fully rigid singlespeed.
I've nearly been pure ebike for 3 years, realised I've lost a lot of fitness and developed some love handles, therefore making a lot of my shorts and riding jerseys too tight.
Not a bad thing as gunning singletrack on a FS eeb after dusk while these dummies are on the move is a perfect set up for a dirt nap... had a few close calls lately too.
Pleased that after half a dozen rides over the last 3 weeks it is getting easier so time to pick a steeper hill.

It was my 55th birthday recently so I grabbed a date and went over to (high-end Mexican steakhouse) Toca Madera - Scottsdale. Of course it isn’t a celebration until the pyrotechnics come out, but flowers as a garnishment for asparagus was notable enough to break out the camera.

Where’s the margarita? I don’t see a margarita! How was the food?

Happy double-nickels!
Too much sugar. I nearly always drink spirits on the rocks. Toca has G4 tequila so I was drinking their reposado on the rocks. If you're not familiar, G4 tequila is top shelf quality. Highly recommended.

Toca Madera is a bit of a special occasion kind of place (hence going on my birthday), but the food is spectacular. Actually everything is spectacular about the place. They have a fire theme going where they'll have entertainers doing fire tricks; and many of their specialty drinks employ an element of fire.

Mate, we've only just climbed out of the trenches.

I've been here in Aus for nearly 25yrs but was born and spent my first 28yrs in N Ireland. Was back in March for a check-in and it pissed down every day except for the day I arrived. The last 3 days I was there, it hardly even got daylight.
I feel your pain bro

What about ye? My sister in law is from Newtonards. Her name is Jacinta, which you'll know about. In the family, we call her Billy bad temper which I imagine also makes sense.

I’ve never had the G4. I was afraid it was the $450/shot tequila the high end restaurants have. Google shows reasonable prices on G4. I’ll have to pick up a bottle. Mucho gracias for the tip good sir!

One of the things I like about tequila is even the good stuff is reasonably priced. I can assure you that you won't be disappointed with G4. Super clean.

Weather was dreich yesterday definitely not a day to climb a hill you have already done four times ( Stac Polly ). Bad weather can be a blessing sometimes ,went a cycle instead to Achmelvich never been before. Met a wild swimmer who didn’t look like she had eaten all the Pies 😜 . No frogs spotted but cool Pine Martin strolled casually strolled across the road .Caving today I will be stiff and sore the morn.

Where's a pic of the "wild swimmer who didn’t look like she had eaten all the Pies"?
