Is it correct that the 600% assiatance only works up to 15kph? Sounds like they are close to the limits of the hardware at this point.

Nice, hopefully this power doesnt cause the motor to blow up though :D Putting everything at max for turbo, motor overrun control is nice, hopefully it will make the feeling a bit less on/off, I feel like even at my 85nm emtb mode the bike becomes sometimes hard to control with technical climbs.

Thanks, interesting comparisons on the rider power needed to reach specific cadences in the same situations for each of the motors.

Any of the newest motors seem to have plenty of power - the deciding factor for me is noise and durability of the gears/bearings. I currently own a Bosch CX4 food processor and an EP8 coffee machine (regreasing helps for a while but the grease disperses).

I think this may be a Bosch marketing typo and I commented on it here Bosch 600% assistance
nope:

thats from velomotion, they already had it on the test stand

@Moderator There are now at least 3 threads on the new Bosch updates. Any chance we could combine them?

There are a lot of on going discussions in the other thread, not all directly related to the technical aspects of the actual update.

I think we'll try and keep this one moderated to the actual update and the other thread can be a free for all.

Free for all thread - if you want to talk about speed limits, power limits, regulations or just generally like the sound of your own voice and self importance.

Just as a matter of interest, May the Fourth for the update, as in Star Wars , 'may the force be with you'...... coincidence, I think not.
Cool idea. (y) Haven‘t though in that direction when reading „vierter Mai“ in the german Bosch newsletter. I am pretty sure in case of Bosch / Germans its just by coincidence. :)

Going back to the topic at hand 😅

Garmin integration sounds like a Christmas gift for me. Garmin has published beta versions of their firmware for Edge 540/550, 840/850, 1040/1050 and Edge MTB to support Bosch bikes.

I wonder what the plan is (if any) for non-Edge devices (I have an old Fenix 6 that I doubt will be updated to support my bike, but maybe there’s hope for newer watches).

is it due out on Monday 4th please? somehow I’ve missed that in the discussions …

I thought this was the thread for discussing the actual update, the other one is for arguing the toss about Avinox vs Bosch and de-restricting wider discussion points?

Moderator : Yes - Have moved the other posts.

Yeh, this is good news. The smart display I have on the top tube with the five LEDs is ok, but a bit lacking in detail. I wonder if the full system will be available on the 4th, or if it’s still in testing? I’ve got the little edge 130 which it won’t work with but I’ve been thinking about a 530/edge explore model so this is timely, and I’ll need to look at the 540 and above..

I am leaving the house at 8am for a big ride at 10:30. So I can almost guarantee the update will be tomorrow afternoon just after I finish 😂

Initially I was ambivalent about the 120 Nm and 600% gain. Who cares? After watching Francis Cebedo's new video, I've changed my mind. He talks about more upgrades than I was aware of, and he reports that the ride quality has improved. Now I want all that stuff. I NEED it!

The upgrade is still twelve hours off. I was thinking of setting my VPN for Japan, where it's already May 4, but apparently it's more complicated than that. Tomorrow is totally booked, so I won't get the upgrade until May 5. Why is Bosch punishing me this way????

Bosch presentation, question and answer session with Claus Fleischer
In the video, Mr. Claus Fleischer talks about an Easter egg in the upcoming Bosch performance update 2.0 (only one day to go! 😁): enabling (?) traction control, for example, in Turbo mode, by setting the slider to -2, in Dynamic (my guess is he was just referring to TC sensitivity).

Too bad the Drivetrain tensioner (in eMTB and eMTB+, according to Mr. Claus, but I’ve read elsewhere it is available in eMTB+ and Race modes) will only be released in a future update, in the middle of 2026.
The overrun/ extended boost will probably also not be configurable in the 4th may update.

One question he wasn’t asked was when (later in the year), you’re able to lower the battery charging limit to 80% in the Flow app, if this will also work when charging the battery independently/ out of the ebike (it should be possible if the configuration is sent to/ stored in the battery)…

(I wasn’t sure in which Bosch thread to post this…)

07:22 May 4th - Where's the update??? No update showing on the App, I've uninstall/reinstalled, still same. I'm not biking today with just 100nm like some peasant, I'll get laughed at
Some folk are never happy..🤣 How do you think I feel, I’ve got the SX motor and definitely feel like the poor relation now, forgotten about, not worthy of attention…..

It’s the Garmin live data update that has got me interested in this update.

PS, no app update showing for me yet, 07:40.
