Velduro Rogue 170/165 mullet Enduro with DJI

What frame weight were you expecting? What are some competitive frames coming in at? (E-Dread, Flux, RS180, etc.)

Edit: Also, can you check what UI Controller in on your bike, the D100 or D100F?

I think all of the HP CF bikes just come in about .5kg heavier than the non HP bikes. Just the nature of getting that suspension goodness and the extra components required to do that. The rest of the weight is all about the battery size and build.

Did anyone weigh the extra bash guard piece that you can buy for the Velduro?

so i had the motor out of the frame today, those would definitely not fit. the motor sits flush in the frame, you need to wiggle it in. changed the read bolt to the newer one.
Mine was super tight but it did fit. You can fit them from the outside too. I did not have the new bolt so can't comment on that. Looking forward yo seeing your build!

Today I loosened the motor bolts on my bike again and re torqued them to 25 Nm. So far, the noise is gone. I have only tested it while stationary. I will see how it is on the next ride.

I have a Forbidden Druid Core e 1 at home. I weighed it to and took a look at frame girth compared with the Velduro. The Forbidden in L with pedals weighed 23.7kg. The Velduro was 23.8kg. Part spec was slightly different but total weight about 300 grams heavier on the Forbidden. The frame is bigger all over on the Rouge in girth than the Druid and its clear thats where the extra weight comes from, its built more like a trophy truck and the Forbidden is more like a WRC car. Overall I have the Forbidden Druid frame 400 grams lighter but will only be a cat 4 frame (not sure what Velduro will be yet). The Dreadnought frame is closer to in weight to the Velduro which is fairer comparison. The Velduro is built for absolute abuse.

So earliest my LBS can get me a Rogue in size small is end of july, even that isn't 100%, anyone in the UK know of someone who can get one sooner @Velduro UK why advertise size small if you can't make them without lengthy wait times ? :D

The alternative is the new Avinox Orbea Wild which will be 170/170 and due to be launched in June, with availability then too.

Its quicker to order a factory built new car lol

Will the Orbea Wild have a removable battery?

I got the same response from Velduro UK asking about size small Phantom. Sounds like they are only getting size small in to order. It's a bit disappointing, I'd expect that perhaps from a bike shop, but not from the distributor.

Especially when some parts of the cycling media are pointing out that a lot of brands aren't offering small enough bikes. A lot of female riders struggle to find a good fitting bike small enough, with even size smalls often being too big.

At least Velduro are better than Amflow who start at a medium.

I do understand not wanting to buy too much stock that might be hard to shift, especially when the bike industry is having issues. However I would have thought stocking at least one of each size shouldn't have caused to much financial strain.

As a result I've decided to wait a little bit to see what alternatives get announced, though I've a feeling I'll still probably go Velduro frame only.

Jeez and you’re still waiting? Fk that man, I’d never wait that long for an order, it’s ridiculous. Plenty of Avinox bikes in the market, also enquired about the Unno Mith and been told I’d have it by end of June the latest in small or maybe sooner!

I think it’s worth pointing out that the Velduro was a pre-order with delivery scheduled for spring.
I placed my order in the autumn, knowing full well that it wouldn’t be available until spring.
With new models, it’s often the case that bikes are pre-ordered and only delivered months later.
I hate waiting too, but that’s just the way it is.

I guess it’s because they’re a boutique brand, but I’d understand that with a new model, and in your case they probably knew about the M2S motor and needed to wait for it.

The bikes been out for a year now and would when thought logistics would have improved by now.

I think it’s worth the wait—the bike is really interesting, well built, and has some great details. Sorry for the mess around the bike, but I only managed to put it together last night.
As for the components:
Velduro Rogue frame without shock.
Marzocchi Super Z 38 fork, 180 mm travel.
RockShox Vivid 2027 shock, 205x65, with H&R spring plus spacer… in total the spring with the spacer is 141 mm, perfect so the spring collar doesn’t hit the frame.
Carbon FSR i29 Gradient wheels, 29/27.5.
SRAM Maven Silver brakes with SRAM discs 220 front / 200 rear.
Tille cockpit – handlebar plus 35 mm stem.
Magic Mary radial tires.
SRAM Eagle 70 mechanical drivetrain with 90 shifter.
I’m 178 cm tall and I chose size L because I have a long torso and long arms. All my bikes have been one size larger.

Mega happy for you mate! I'm fairly patient but dont want to miss out most of this season, especially as the end of july ETA isn;t firm. Looking like a toss up between this, Mith and the new Wild, whichever I'm ,likely to get in June/July the latest.

Looks great! Do you know that the back break mount is 203 so with a 200mm disk is not optimal. To be honest I don’t get why they did 203…

I inquired about the Mith frame only option in a S1 from my local dealer, he said late July early August. What dealer told you June? Was that for a complete bike or just the frame?

Thats what i thought initially, but a 203 fits greater. Scroll back and you will find i took a picture of both.
THIS IS FOR UK AND IRELAND ONLY, for other areas please consult your local dealer.

All "full build Rouge X bikes**" that have landed in the UK and Ireland so far came with 203mm rotors and all "frameset" kits should be fitted with 203mm rotors.

** Regarding Rogue R complete bikes only.
The first delivery of Rogue R full builds to the UK and Ireland on container one came with a 200mm rotor, this was an error. The 200mm rotor should and must be changed to a 203mm rotor which we will supply FoC to our customers in the UK. If you have purchased a Rogue R full build please contact your dealer or us directly through our website and we will arrange to supply you with a 203mm Rotor FoC.

All Rogue frames coming into the UK and Ireland from May 2026 onwards have been updated to accept either 200mm or 203mm rotors (with the correct spacer).

And the photos with the bike. I won’t say anything about the M2S motor—plenty of people have already said enough, and said it well! But the bike is fantastic. I love how I feel on it: it’s playful, it lifts off the ground really nicely, and it handles rough stuff without any issues. Super quiet too—no noise at all.

Looks like you are in 29" flipchip still. Is that intentional?
