Pic of the Day

Did you check adjustment of cable and bowden cable?
I turned the barrel adjuster both sides. I started with turning to the bar 3 turns untill 9 and still the same. Then other side up to 5 turns and still drops.

What os that Bowden cable? Never heard of that

More fun in the sun. Trivia fact, mature readers may remember venerable British sitcom, Porridge. The road in this picture is in the opening sequence of the movie. It's not much of a fact but it is a fact

Porridge a big favourite of mine bring it in.

Thursday Hawes Trail Alliance broke ground on a 20 mile (32km) trail expansion. The first order of business is a 1/2 mile extension of Hawes’ most popular trail, Red Mountain Rush (pictured below) that will allow riding right down to the Red Mountain Lot. More significant, is a new “Mid Mountain” connector trail that will traverse the mountain about midway up; that will open up a bunch of new loop options. Also a big deal is a significant trail expansion across Usery Pass Road (east side of the map). We’re told there’s a very unique golden exposed rock section they’re calling Yellow Brick Road; so most of the new trails on that side all will have Wizard of Oz themed names.
The goal is to complete the expansion “before it gets too hot” so it sounds like it shouldn’t take long to get this done.

Global warming seems to have really hammered Hawes in North Yorkshire, the place looks like a bloody desert! How it used to look...😃

There has been a lot of information here on this forum how to cut and remove trees. But what do you do with a fallen cactus - except looking for a bypass?

I'm planning a road trip possibly June if weather is good. Always remember Hawes as a nice place possibly visit it for old times sake.. Looking at Hebden bridge as well some good rides there I believe.

First ever SRAM bleed, not as easy as Shimano but not as bad as I expected. SRAM had good video how to do it. I`ve been riding these DB8 10 months and 1700km. Not a bad brake, not even closely powerfull as my XT`s but ok for trail riding. I like the lever feel and looks and original pads are great. Had to bleed rear brake because there was air, lever touched the grip. Keep riding these at least until this second set of pads wear out, then maybe but new mavens? In the otherhand I really like trouble and air free 😀 Shimanos, the new ones are just so ugly that cannot put them on 😅

Ugly brakes to match the Ugly mudguards we all have . I used to have a bit of neoprene stuck with velcro to keep water off Levo battery plug, now that was ugly
