I like the metal flake, I'm excited for mine !

Is that 210mm dropper bottomed out there ?
The tranzx dropper was one of those "ewww" items on the tier 2 build that I wasn't too sure about.

This bike is definitely on my short list, but I am having trouble deciding - I honestly need a frame option only so I am tempted to get the T4 or T3 (preferred colorway), however there's been little to no reviews on the M2 motor, everything is M2S this and that.

Only thing I can gather is:
Slightly less quiet vs M2s due to missing ring clutch mechanism
Slightly more heavy due to less premium materials used
Less power (but honestly good with 850w/100nm, so anything is bonus)

I want a comparison review between the 2 motors. @Rob Rides EMTB any initial impressions you can provide between the 2? eg. ride quality in usual auto modes or anything?

Given the choice of 100% go with M2S.

M2S uphill off road is a different beast. M2 is still good, but if you can and budget allows, M2S.

What are the other bikes on your list?

For my riding needs, I don't do big days so 600wh is plenty enough (actually prefer 400), which is why I don't think I need the M2s prowess. I'll take the weight savings for easier handling. Here's my shortlist, but all of them seem to have some kinda compromise.

Dreadnought E - lack of 29 rear option, but everything else is good. Also it's a local brand so that's a win. Overall least amount of compromise.

Teewing Flux - 800wh battery option only and seatpost insertion isn't the best. I would need to source 600wh battery. Pricing is the best, also have frame only options.

Velduro - 600wh battery frame option and good insertion. However short chainstays, lack of colorways, has shock compatibility limitations, and seems like they aren't on top of their marketing / customer info - so that doesn't instill too much confidence.

Commencal - too heavy.
Amflow / Pivot - not enough travel.
Crestline - too $$$ now and stock is hard to come by. (My currrent bike actually - gen 5 bosch)

These are all the brands I can get in Canada. Whyte would be awesome (can't get it here though), Unno mith is definitely awesome (but requires too much rider input and also $$$).

Can you expand a bit on that Rob ?
Is it mainly a traction thing ? Or power mainly ? Noise perhaps ?

I'm looking at one of the m2 bikes for my wife...

Just spoke to my LBS and from the Forbidden UK sales dude there are no more T1, S2's coming into the UK 😭 everything is already sold.

I'll have to slum it with my T2... Still no improvement on the Sept date either. Ah well first world problems and all that!

Uprise is showing a T1 S2 in stock, it looks like they have one Dreadnought and Druid.
