No Boost on my new M2s

Wow, this thread is active. Great.

I've received a few updates to no avail.

Glad to hear that Troydon is aware and that someone opened an Avinox ticket!

@Noelmonkey I don't need the 1500, I just need my boost to do anything. As of now, it just feels like it turns the motor off (the sensation of hitting the speed limit).

Everything I’ve heard is you need the 700 battery for 1500w boost. I think it’s amflow only. I could be wrong but velduro have the same issue.

You do need it but the 700 battery perks aren't exclusive to the AMFLOW. I haven't heard of anyone getting one hands on one yet.

It must be all brands of bike im guessing ?

As others expressed, I’m also experiencing significant loss of power and torque output in Trail mode.

What's the real world milage are you getting out of the battery

Interesting. How is your Boost? I too lost power in trail mode today when I was on my second ride of the new bike. I reset it twice using my phone to no avail, but my third reset on the bike screen got trail working again.

Boost still does nothing.

Are you able to change the power setting under trail mode in custom modes? I mentioned before I cannot change mine from 750w , the setting is blank when I try to adjust it. I also noticed it change this field to 100w randomly while messing with the other settings. When that happened I had to reset it to get it back to the 750w default. I only noticed this while messing with the other settings to attempt to fix the the boost issue. I've done full rides in trail mode the whole time otherwise without any unexpected change.

How does it ride in auto mode?

Same for Boost as well. Good to see consistent symptoms from multiple owners.

Here's what I see when I try to change the power setting on custom trail mode. Nada

First post so apologies if I'm posting a duplicate but I did try the search first.

Has anyone else had the Bike Motor Power Restricted error on the new M2S?

If so any luck getting it resolved?

Yeah, mine is a speed sensor fault. Happened today only on the second ride of the bike.
I’ll be in contact with the dealer tomorrow.

I managed to get that working by resetting it on the bike computer. The app is glitching. Still no boost though.

I don't understand why bike companies don't test their products longer and get all the bugs out first. Specialized did the same thing with the new update and now Amflow.

Not Amflow, Avinox.

You guy's having Crestline/Avinox issues, what firmware are you running? Had my 1st ride yesterday and everything worked as it should including Boost Mode. Here is my current firmware.

I left my firmware untouched and never updated it. Curious if the issues are with the people who did update the firmware.

It’s funny, I get a notice to update a component once a day since getting this bike built last week. The last five times I updated, it says “complete,” but the version numbers remain exactly the same.

And I still have no boost.

Is there a way to contact Avinox. The Crestline (bike manufacturer) website say to contact Avinox, but the reference webpage link is wrong. My Avinox app says to contact the bike manufacturer.

I opened a ticket with them via the "contact us" on their site and they already responded. They had me send over some logs and stuff so hopefully it's under review.

I must be dense (or more likely a spaz) but I didn’t see the contact us. I’ll try too .

From an AI search, and based on previous comments:

"Yes — to unlock the full power output of the Amflow/Avinox M2S motor, you do need the newer high‑density 700Wh battery. This battery is specifically engineered to sustain the motor’s maximum wattage and torque, while older or lower‑density packs cannot deliver the required continuous current.

Why the 700Wh battery is required for full power

The Avinox M2S motor can deliver extremely high output — up to 1500W peak and very high sustained wattage. But the motor’s performance is directly tied to the battery’s ability to supply current."

IDK for sure, but my understanding is that rather than going up in voltage, they decided to increase amperage to get the power. That requires more current throughput, which requires a different battery architecture.

The boost mode definitely feels like more power than turbo. I don’t know the exact power but it’s plenty. It’s like pushing the nitro button in a video game. Even a bit scary if you have tech in front of you. Regardless what the power level boost actually is (1300-1500), I think folks will be pleased once they get it working.
