How is the Nicolai ? . My last two analogue bikes were those before i got ebike . I looked at them but would have had to import it myself so didn't think it was practical.
Nicolai is Nicolai, great quality and service. For me a dream bike. Upgraded it but overall very happy!!

Testing out my new Regulator on the local jump lines.

Noticed I’m beginning to grind a little bevel on the leading edge of my derailleur. 🛘😆🪨

Good idea ..once its got a sharper point it could well deter a snake striking out ..
You could be on to a winner there I'd patent that straight away 😉

My eyes are going a bit but Im guessing thats you in the background with the yellow T-shirt on ?
Not having seen a pic of you before its just how Id imagined you would look ..😉😂
It's surprisingly accurate ! I'm no EMF rock star 😁

They paint the windows before the tour de France comes through, why they chose me I have no idea 😁

And still no crash?
Nope !!! I momentarily slipped into ye old 110% mode today on a downhill .. but avoided KAPUT !

Haven't broken a bone in about 18 months !! it's nuts !! Not broken a bone = I haven't crashed as for me a crash normally means I've totally lost it at stupid speed.

To be honest, I'm actually enjoying "not breaking" enormously. Most of my body is now fully functional again (Shoulders are still slightly down on normal, but considering the breaks and rotator cuff destruction, it's impressive). Basically, nano technology (going to the gym lots and the body fixes itself).

The downside - I think I'm now actually scared to break things, so I'm riding MUCH slower. I'm trying to teach myself to have fun without the need for full adrenalin rush. This is no easy thing ! At the moment I always ride unarmoured - which means I back off much sooner. Been rehabbing hard so I'm probably now carrying as much muscle as I was when I was in my 20's - but bones seem to fracture much more easily as you get older with stupid impacts.

#old fart #boring #no pain no wayne (still continuing that theme ! :) - can we get that on a t-shirt)

Hey! In the bright side, you can make new friends while laying in the hospital bed. 😉

I’ve had several close calls and one very serious crash. Definitely makes one reflect on my speed and fake skill choices.

I find climbing technical trails a bit more forgiving, with different challenges. But I wouldn’t climb trails in the afternoon or when the regular's show up. Early mornings seem to be better.

Golspie up North of Scotland is a fantastic climb with a technical section bit called The Lactic Ladder. Cleaned it once but on an analogue bike strangely. You definitely don't fall so far on up climbs unless you're on a ledge. Far too many folk I know are recovering from crash injuries this past year 😪 so take care yall

Blurred photo because couldn’t get phone out in time but this red kite came and circled me twice slowly, only about 20ft above me. I thought he was going to have a peck at me. Have never seen one so close up before. A wonderful sight, made my day

Just don't show him your lunch, guess how I know!
Being very fast with very sharp talons results in your burger virtually disappearing in front of your eyes!
