well not the best first ride by Iain, paint looks to be crap too...
Wheelset does not match the bikes purpose. A lot of people will break them. It's an odd ebike. Huge reach numbers and very long. It won't suit the trails most people ride. Looks over form

It's very close to my stumpjumper same reach too.

M/L size geo looks almost identical to the S2 Unno Mith other than reach and wheel base. The Zendit comes with a 12mm shorter stem so actual reach will only be 8mm longer in reality.

The unno was never a comfortable bike. Saying everything is the same apart from reach and wheelbase is leaving out the two most important measurements. Reach of 500mm in large is massive. Chosen stability at speed over agility. People will buy it for looks, but it's a bike that will suit very few people's actual daily trails.

Really hope the bike is fun , seems like it might be a bit over biked from most
Exactly this. reach and wheelbase numbers mean its going to be a plow type bike, not agile and fun. They have clearly aimed it to be that. A shame really as it does look nice. I strongly considered it but after some actual real world people riding it and feeding back, plus the sheer size of the thing, it just wont be the best option for 95% of people.

Add to that a very odd wheelset choice and poor dropper insertion depth. Much better bikes recently released than this.

Comfortable size wise do you mean?

The marketing that’s been put out by Doddy does say it’s not an every day driver type of bike and it needs rider input to get the best out of it. My experience of Mondrakers, I’ve owned several over the years, is they are all intentionally that.

One of the nicest Avinox eMTB out there, but that seatpost insertion depth issue is very serious.

I get it that this is a drawback from their suspension design, but when other manufacturers like Santa Cruz are moving away from it shows how bad this issue is.

Having your seat in the way while descending is basically making the bike unrideable for a lot of people.

I really wanted the Zendit to be my new Avinox bike, since I’m super happy with my Crafty and Mondraker. It turned out to be a nice bike, though the proportions aren’t quite as balanced as on the Crafty. It just ended up being too much of a bike, so I decided on the Raymon Tarok Ultra, which has geometry more in line with the Vala, Crafty, and Pivot. I think that will be the better bike for me. Are you meaning the mullet setup because I thought the H1900 on the RR and HX1700 on the RR S are both pretty bulletproof?
H1900 are st swiss budget offering. Not even welded rim. Meant for softer trail riding. They aren't suitable for what the mondraker is aimed at

i dont know what to do anymore....
I have the santa cruz vala, love the bike. but im gonna get another ebike for more enduro, hardhitting stuff.
So iam looking for a bigger bike with bigger battery, and as i already have the bosch, im looking for avinox now.

i had the commencal preordered. But i did cancel it when i saw the weight. Plus 25kg for a medium is alot.

Now i have my eyes on the zendit. But actually thinking it might to to much of a bike anyway?

Maybe you should wait until May, when Orbea is set to release its new Avinox Wild Super Enduro, based on the Rallon. It will actually have even more travel (180/170) than the Zendit, so it’ll be a big bike too. And probably even more expensive.

Why not just keep the Crafty. If it's the current 5th gen CX, Bosch is releasing an update to bump it to 120 Nm May 4th.

Are we looking at the same bike ?
480mm reach, 640mm stack, 450mm chainstay, 1286mm wheelbase is pretty ideal for an enduro bike.
Those are excellent numbers.

That's for the ml, not the large. Ml is an odd size. Be too small for anyone 6ft. Dropper insertion will be tinly. All other dimensions are a normal medium at best. The large at reach 500 and 1325 wheelbase is a barge. It's a very big bike. The ml seems a bit useless. Giving you a medium bike with a large reach. It's just sized very odd (I've sat in a large and a ml.). Ml reach is fine, rest of the bike is too small. Couldn't use a dropper big enough without a lot of it out the frame.

It's a big plow. Straight line rough and fast trails. In the Twisties it won't be good.

m/l is a large in any other manufacturers sizing. Large is actually XL.
Those m/l dimensions are almost identical to my dreadnought v2, which fits perfectly. I am 6'.
I have ridden both a m/l crafty, and a size large. Both used 200mm wolftooth v2 droppers. The zendit has more seat post insertion than the crafty.
The m/l is perfect for a 6' individual, large is more for someone in the 6'2" and up range.
I'd say most people will be fine for dropper height, other than those with very short legs and longer torsos.

My dreadnought is a scalpel in fast, tight stuff. I'd assume this will be no different.
The "plow" sensation is usually caused by a poor f/r ratio on a long wheelbase. I've experienced this on a number of bikes in the past. You'd be surprised at how agile longer wheelbases can be with good balance and geo.

The m/l for me was ok reach wise, but everything other dimensions was too small at 6ft. 200mm dropper had to stick way out to be the right height. Couldn't get a bigger dropper as you couldn't insert it more. This is from me actually sitting on it. The sizing is just very odd.

The dropper having to stick way out isn't an issue if you're still getting 200+mm of drop.
It's only a problem if when bottomed out it's still too high of a seating position.
630mm top tube, these are all pretty standard numbers, only thing I can think of is the more modern (steeper) seat tube angle perhaps making it feel smaller to you.
What are you riding now ?

I do agree though, more dropper insertion is always a good thing. The dji'd orbea wild is going to be pretty attractive.

As pointed out, the dropper sticking out a bit is not issue at all. What they did is leave the frame size workable for a person that needs to run a 175mm dropper, or even a 150, which is the right move.

It's the insertion depth that is a bit of an issue on the Mondies, Amflows, Spesh & Cresties. Just the nature of the interrupted seat tube.

Thats exactly my point, because the bike is smaller in m/l size than a large in others, the seat has to be way too high even when down. Im not the first to say this.

Well it is an issue. It meant I didn't go for one. Large was like an oil tanker, m/l even with the seat down comm would be in the way all the time. If all I did was flat out rocky terrain, large would be ok but likely still feel stretched. But I ride steep terrain, can be tight and twisty. Just wouldn't work at all. They should of done away with the m/l and just made the large not so stretched out

Seems just like your saying there is no size that fits you well, and that happens sometimes

Which seems odd. Ml too small for 6ft, large too large. So if your 5'11 to 6'2, it won't work. Yet they have an xl with dimensions that would suit someone 6'4. Makes no sense.

As Ive mentioned I've sat on both those sizes. It's a very odd choice from them. The short insertion really isn't great. I e seen a couple of reviews mention it. With all the choice there is now just seems they want with looks over function.

I've gone a yeti lte in large now. That fits lovely

There's no way a m/l won't fit a 6' person of average build.
The dimensions of a m/l zendit are almost identical to a large lte.

First, the LTe is almost certainly a better bicycle overall.

However, what you are saying above makes no sense.

If running a 200mm dropper on the Zendit does not result in a seat that is too high for you, then the saddle drops 200mm out of your way. The exact same as dropping a 200mm dropper on any bike would. The issue is that some might be able to fit a 200mm on one bike such as the LTe, but that the same 200mm dropper is too tall due to limited insertion depth on the Zendit/ Crestie/ etc. and they have to run a 175mm dropper instead. That's when there is an issue.

Unless you run a 200mm dropper then intentionally move it down in the seat tube below the correct height so that you have even more descending room? In that case, it's just on you.

Agree, the ML is perfect for me and I'm 5'11. I prefer 470-475mm reach but can easily make 480 work.

I think we get it, Endorium doesn't like the bike already
