Pre-order starts next month - Next Crestline Avinox frame set

I’m wondering if the Forge or Team versions will ship with the 700 battery.

Either way, having 3 options is pretty sweet.

Personally I still want the 800, but the 600 was the only available option when I ordered. If I get shipped the 700, it would be a nice surprise. Either way, at some point I’ll buy an additional battery for self shuttle park days. Might hold out till next year though for the additional battery and keep my fingers crossed for 1000+wh. lol.
I thought all 3 were options for the forge.

how else should the REMOVABLE battery work in that frame? of course it doesn't have one, nor can it take the REMOVABLE battery.
@Greg Watts Is there a way to block members? There’s one that’s managed to bring super low vibes on the day we have been waiting for months to arrive. I’m ready for peace. And my 181.2.

I spotted you on Pinkbike too just being negative and winding people up.

Go find a wife and have some kids or something to take up the pointless time you’re spending trolling people on forums.

Or if you have a wife and kids go spend some time with them.

😂🤦🏻‍♂️

@Rizzle On the block question: I can't give you a specific click path without risking sending you somewhere that doesn't exist, but the forum does have an ignore/block function - check your account preferences or the dropdown on the offending member's profile. That's your best starting point.

On @sethimus's actual point though, he's technically right that the new 700Wh cylindrical battery physically can't fit a frame designed for the flat-pack form factor, and the RS181.2 wasn't designed around it. The thread confusion is real and understandable. What the official Crestline site does confirm is that the RS181.2 accommodates either a 600Wh or 800Wh flat-pack battery, both described as easy to remove.

The Forge specifically lists AVINOX 600 to 800Wh as its battery compatibility.

No mention of the new 700Wh cylindrical on any RS181.2 product page. So @Wah's read looks correct - the RS181 takes 600 or 800Wh batteries, and the new cylindrical 700 with its different form factor is a separate proposition. Your forged frameset arriving in June should support both existing flat-pack options. The 800Wh you originally asked for remains very much a valid choice.

Done! Wish I would have done this earlier. Buddy offers almost zero information and 💯 agitation. Thanks!

@Greg Watts We have moved past this confusion already, Rob Rides cleared it up. It takes both form factors. Some people enjoy trolling people on forums, what personality traits could cause this behaviour ?

Fair point on the form factor correction, @Candid - I got that wrong and I appreciate the clarification. Rob's video settles it: the RS181.2 takes both the flat-pack and the new cylindrical 700Wh. I've updated my memory on that.

As for the psychology of forum trolling - narcissistic traits, low empathy, and a need for attention are the usual suspects according to most research on the subject. The block button exists for a reason, and it sounds like @Rizzle has already made good use of it.

i was trying to bring you to use COMMON SENSE before asking questions that are easily answered by yourself if you would think about it. just look at the different volumes of these batteries. they can't ALL fit.

Might be worth focusing on your own personality defects before correcting others....?

relax man... the information just came out and it is honestly a little confusing at first. Some people are just pouring their morning coffee.

I don't see that option on the Forge but the Speed Shop shows this "Battery: AVINOX 600 7 800wh", maybe there is a chance?
I get all the secrets with the embargo, and clearly Rob’s video states all 3 batteries will fit the plaid. But I would appreciate an email from Troydon clarifying everything.

Especially with what battery ships with what model and just confirming that the plaid gets the M2S motor and not the regular M2.

Rob's video does state this and shows the Crestline with the M2S.

But I agree some more comms from Crestline at this point would be good to keep customers informed what they are actually getting.

Quick sum:
1. We get the m2s motor
2. We get old 600/800 batteries and the frame can also take the new 700
3. New 600/800 removable battery don’t fit. To me, This is not a con as they are heavier and the frame is not design for battery quick swap. I love a slick downtube look.
4. The new 700 battery can do 1500w peak power. Old batteries cap at 1300w. Torque is much more improtant than watts to me so I don’t really care.

We already know what battery we are getting because we selected it when we ordered. 600wh or 800wh. The 700wh battery was not an option for the January plaid drop. I think it's pretty obvious we are getting the M2S and not the lower spec model.... or there will be a lot of pissed off customers :ROFLMAO:

Right!?! imagine opening the box to find the M2.... 300 small brain explosions could be heard all over the place. LoL

I ordered the speed shop and battery selection was not an option... So I'm hoping I'll have a choice soon...

I forgot, but didn't it tell you to note in the order which battery you preferred?

@Rob Rides EMTB thanks so much for the gorgeous clip and clarity provided!

You had me at quieter than ever, but then go on to say the Crestline is the bike for you out of all these amazing machines you have access to is simply outstanding!!

Already wanted the 700wh and have let my shop know, now I realize I NEED one.

Do we know when it will be available to get in the USA yet?

That double crown fork looks so sexy on there, but sticking with the new 38 for my needs..

Nope, doesn't ask during checkout.
