The new 800 battery is extender compatible, I wonder what about the 600? Is it a new one or the old one

The new 800 battery is extender compatible, I wonder what about the 600? Is it a new one or the old one
From what I've seen looking at several sites and videos, the old 600 & 800 and the new 700 are considered "integrated" batteries, while the new 600 & 800 are removeable. Looks like the removeable versions can also double as range extenders, but carrying something that heavy as an extender seems like a terrible idea on a bike you're going to jump and shake around a bunch. Hopefully smaller variants are on the way.

You guys are in for a treat. The Crestline with the M2s motor is so so so good. Especially with 700wh batteries, and swappable too if you want multi battery days.
Curious to if you will release a video on the new Crestline? Now the embargo’s are off do you notice any differences in frame stiffness/handling from the 181.1?

Its hard to tell, because I am on a different size as well.

Out of any bike thats released right now, if I had to choose one, it'd definitely be the Crestline.

So the cylindrical form factor 700wh battery fits within the chassis as well as the original 600wh and 800wh even though they are different form factors?
correct. Troydon made an extra screw hole for the 700wh battery.

It also sits lower down than the 800, and uses 2x screws underneath to secure it. Removing the battery is very quick and easy, and no screen removal needed (unlike the 800wh).

plus, 1500w!

Interesting, thanks for the info! Annoyingly the 700wh is £949, £250 more than the 800wh!

For those that got shipping labels what date did you get your order in? Curious to see where in line I'm at. Happy M2/M2S day everyone, lol.

So options are:

Avinox 600Wh Battery - £529 - Weight: 2.87 kg
Avinox FP700 Battery - £949 - Weight: 3.18kg
Avinox 800Wh Battery - £699 - Weight: 3.74 kg
Interesting stuff. I know the 700Wh has the capability for 1500W, but for park laps I’m still really drawn to the lightest setup possible.

Would be awesome if they eventually offered an extender that could run the bike on its own without the main battery. Kinda like how Specialized does it on some of their bikes. That flexibility would be perfect for hot laps vs longer rides.

Either way, my stoke levels are absolutely maxed right now 🤣

Yeah same, I really don't need to go 1500w, 600w is loads cheaper and way enough for the bike parks and local off piste stuff!

Seems like the removable 600wh and 800wh are new or are they the same as the OG Avinox batteries? Interested in finding out if the are new - are they compatible with first gen 181 spectre? Impossible to fine a 600wh battery after market. Bike is great - but would love to shed some weight.

They are old(er)

The new ones are the removables, and the 700wh.

Next day delivery from Amflow website in the UK. It seems the USA site doesn't sell accessories.

This is getting more confusing rather than less :ROFLMAO:
Agreed! Anyone know what our options are with the Crestline? I’ve got the forged frameset coming in June. I’d originally asked for the 800, but without any knowledge of what was coming down the pipe.

Sounds like Rob is saying the RS181.2 uses the OLD 600 and 800 and will be capped at 1300wh, but can also accommodate the NEW 700 cylindrical and unlocks 1500w peak. The NEW removable batteries are chunkier so they probably wouldn't fit even if you wanted it.

The first drop back in Jan only had the options of 600/800. Wish I could grab a new 700 instead of the 800, but glad the 600 isn't too expensive, so most certainly will pick one up for local rides.

Looking at Crestline/Avinox websites and with Rob's insights I'm concluding, it is as Wah states:

You can see the original batteries here:

I’m wondering if the Forge or Team versions will ship with the 700 battery.

Either way, having 3 options is pretty sweet.

Personally I still want the 800, but the 600 was the only available option when I ordered. If I get shipped the 700, it would be a nice surprise. Either way, at some point I’ll buy an additional battery for self shuttle park days. Might hold out till next year though for the additional battery and keep my fingers crossed for 1000+wh. lol.
