Velduro Rogue 170/165 mullet Enduro with DJI

View attachment 181350

I've screenshot this from Avinox website (which I had to use a VPN to get to as it doesn't seem to be working in the UK right now). This suggests the Velduro website is incorrect as they've mentioned a DP100 which isn't on this list which appears to be the original one. That table shows the apple find my feature is only available on the third model which only has 10w USB and not 65w USB like the first two. So I guess their news article was written with incomplete information.

I guess you need an Apple device to use the Apple find my feature? I'm a windows / android guy.

EDIT, looks like you can use it on Android with the web browser.
that's exactly why is asked. as usual, velduro is not the most up to date company when it comes to offering the correct information. they couldn't even be arsed to update the website to show the current specs...

only the 700wh can. its the only one with the 4680 cells.
That's a fair summary of the headline output differences between the battery platforms, but it’s important to put that into context.

In practice:

The difference between 1300W and 1500W is rarely noticeable on trail
Torque delivery and control matter more than peak figures

So while the numbers differ on paper, real-world performance is extremely competitive with no real noticeable difference on Trail.

Thanks for your comments, much appreciated. The website is being updated, for clarification, the Apple find my, is NOT available on our models.

So they've not been updated with one of the new ones that adds turn by turn navigation and heart rate power control? Or are those features that can be added with a software update? If that's the case then the original DP100 would appear to be identical in features to the DP100-F.

The Velduro.com news article suggests otherwise, even though they've said it has both 65W and Apple find my which are mutually exclusive features.

I've already emailed them asking for clarification.

Loosely assembled with a 40 till i order a 38 😁
Still need a few more bits.
I measure the static cs at 445mm on a large.

Any official news of a range extender for the Velduro as it seems now officially supported by DJI.....?

So was I, I have been in touch with the OEM team, they are making the changes.
that's great, but they sit on these informations much longer, so what stops them at providing those on the launch date of the motor? it always just comes out in small driplets with them. that annoys me a lot. like, you send rob the new frame, he puts the new rock shox vivid coil in, and nobody updates the damper spec sheet. then they talk about astm 5 testing in their report about the fab that makes their frames, but is it now rated astm 5 or not? no, just crickets. or the inconsitent information about what rear pm mount there is now on the bike. that's just a fucking amateur hour, you are selling a fucking frame only. people need to know that a) in advance and b) need to rely that these informations are correct. it would have helped A LOT, to know which shocks REALLY FIT. i just spend 500eur to change my fast supension shock to trunnion and a side by side res. i could have gotten the new vivid coil at cost for WAY LESS. but no, it doesn't fit, according to the FUCKING OFFICIAL SPEC SHEET.
the same thing with the bash guard. is it now included or something i need to order extra? nobody knows. that is just bad customer service. the list goes on. a new oem like them should do better. look at crestline, that's how you provide information. months earlier than official release...

RANT OVER

Edit: NOT OVER

just started the "test video" from velduro with brook. and the first thing i see is the different link. great! more information they sit on. hey, you just changed a major part of your bike. how about providing the other changes that will come at some point already!??

"hey thats the new motor, we are also working on a new link and longer chainstays, they are available approximatly in x weeks/months/years"

use your brain, if they already have trouble with the available space so only certain shocks will work, how do you think a cable sitting in the charger port, limiting the space even more will ever work!? wishful thinking? wireless power transmitting?

As there are already pictures around, and plug can be made flat...

You could also be more friendly ;-) I get that you don't care about RE but others do care and again quick charge is not an option where I live.

For UK deliveries my impression of the email is suggest 7 dates and then on the day before a date of those chosen by the courier there is a notification email stating next day delivery so no advance notice it seems - can anyone confirm?

I emailed the courier as today was a day i put down but no response, would have been nice to use it on my holidays but i’ll have to slum it now on my Cube….boooo hisss 😆

To cover some of your points hopefully.
No bashguard. Must be an extra. Annoying. Actually now ive looked i can't see any holes to mount it. Maybe the m1 was different. I'll look again tomorrow when i flip it over
Cs on large is 445 bolt to bolt center.
Post mount is 203mm. Actually the rear bolt won't go into the post mount hole in the frame. No way am i forcing that. I'll take the bike to the shop next week when i collect the shock and they can run an m6 tap down it.
Chainring lock tool is included.
Cant believe my rocker is out of date already 😭
Bike looks mint in the flesh 👍

Cs on large is 455 bolt to bolt center, maybe 450 if you measure to the vertical line? Was expecting 440.
Post mount appears to be 200, rather than 203 we were recently told. Even in the shop they phoned up velduro to check. Actually the rear bolt won't go into the post mount hole in the frame. What length dropper have you got? Could it go in further (I see it up a little)?

Oneup v3 210mm, can be slammed, although i haven't attached the cable yet.
Mmm maybe I could go 240mm then. My 210mm v3 is out quite a bit on my enduro s3 and the right height for full height… I’m 6’1” (yes S3 is too small) it seems 240mm does the xl.
I guess full height for maximum pedal benefit isn’t so critical on this bike…

Actually the +17 fits that bit nicer.
Apologies. I'll update the poor info from my above posts. Its definitely a 203mm pm.

hey @Velduro UK keen on commenting on that? i ordered the adapter based on YOUR information. and whats up with the chainstays? when are we getting reliable information????
Im updating the thread to remove my shit information.
The shock spacer wasn't set at full extension. Now ive set it to 205 the cs measures 445 bolt to bolt centre.

The 445mm CS length is more important than the updated motor.

Thanks for measuring.
Im not actually sure it's any different to what was quoted. I measured axle centre to crank centre. Probably if you measure it horizontally it would be nearer 440.
I originally measured it at 455 only to discover the shock spacer wasn't set at full length. 🤦
Ive posted a lot of crap today, enough to rival greg watts! i put it down to being giddy with excitement 😊

I'll try to measure insertion depth tomorrow when i run the cables to see how far a 240 would go.

I tried to buy the Velduro direct some months back but because of a US distributor coming online they would no longer do that.

In reality, I was VERY hesitant about the previous 435mm CS (yes, I know they lengthen at sag, it's not enough) and when they said no, I was totally fine with it and went a different direction that I'm pleased with.

The longer CS length on the L, XL makes this a much more appealing e-bike. I've tried both long and short, and there is no comparison, short CS are pretty terrible actually.

thats rear center. chainstay length is axle to main pivot

I think when most people talk chainstay length, they are referring to rear centre. Many geo charts casually call it chainstay length.
so, how long is it on your xl? and maybe you know more whats up with the silver link in the video? it's just so frustrating at this point, as there are so much half truths out there with this company, but no one seems to want to clear things for the customers?

My XL measures 445 rear centre - centre of axle to centre of BB. No idea about silver linkage

Velduro has said they will continue to prototype and bring out iterations of the bike. CS and link are part of those. Velduro UK or someone on this thread shared the link a while back. I have the original V1 with short chainstay and old motor. It absolutely rips and I've ridden it side by side with other DJI bikes. My preference is still the Velduro. I had always intended to upgrade the motor to the M2S. This was a cost I was willing to incur if it was doable so I could ride all summer. Here was the latest trip on Val. Everyday is the best day riding now. Enjoy your new rigs team, keep calm and carry on the PB hunting 😀

now that we can talk openly about it - @Velduro UK @Velduro Global HQ @Rob Rides EMTB - can you share any insight as to whether:
- the chainstay length is the same across all frame sizes
- if not, how are the different lengths achieved (I find it hard to believe that a new mold for the rear triangle was developed in these few months but at the same time i don't see how changes to the CNC swing link could have achieved the same

When I did measure hte September early production medium frame it was 437 at no sag center to center

Thanks!
