Are MGU EMTBs still beta products?

4000 km ridden, 99,9% in the dirt, slob, rain, snow etc. Had MGU replaced at 3000 km, it has a 2 year warranty. Snapped a belt, replaced in 5 min. I do agree with what has been said BUT I love this bike, gives me a big grin everytime I ride it. Nicolai's service is top notch, they send me free spare snubbers, small parts without money asked. Yes I paid for all but the experience is good and I'm happy with the blind descision to buy this rig. Am I a beta tester, dunno, if so I accept it.View attachment 181112
What was the problem with your replaced MGU?
Sometimes I hear a strange noise in mine , like a rattle inside the engine, but dealer told me it’s normal and it could come from the belt or tensioner , not from the engine

While ascending it gave in, zero power, just very loud rattling noises. Pinion did not share with me what the problem was but it sounded like the gears and/or bearings where toast.

Ok Thanks.
Mine does not lose power. And noise now is very low, like rubbing sand
At beginning the noise was louder like a “clack” but they changed the belt and adjust stronger the tensioner and this “clack “ disappeared, but the current rubbing noise appears from time to time although the engine works fine
Anyway , like you, im also very happy with the bike.
