I talked to my local dealer who said he confirmed the screw in the bottom of the downtube is for mounting an anti-gravity device. He claims it will really help extend the range of the batteries as youll be able to basicaly “float” up the climbs. He even shared the spy photo. I dont want to call out the shop here as this is clearly highly classified….

I heard from a very reliable source that asked not to be disclosed that it will be powered by 20g nuclear fuel and last forever.

Let’s be real here, the average e-bike rider cannot outride the current amflow. Aside from a lot of guys being way overweight which may be a reason they could use more travel, not because they are sending it to the point of needing that much travel lol. The amflow is a very fun and playful bike. It can handle decent size drops no problem. most guys aren’t being limited by the travel on an amflow..

From other recent reports, I am assuming that this is the one with the integrated battery (PX?) but did the shop happen to confirm that? Does anyone have any more info about the removable battery model seen in the earlier pictures (PR?)?

At least they got rid of the trunion mount on the front end of the shock! But I agree that it would have been better still if they could have eliminated the yoke, however there are much bigger players than them (such as Specialized) who still seem to think the yoke tradeoffs are worth it.

Regarding the rest of the frame, the chainstay flip chips and the adjustable head angle via the headset inserts seems pretty cool to me, but I agree that the seat tube area could have been refined a bit more. If you crunch the numbers with the shortest insertion seatposts and low stack saddles, it seems like they are still viable to me though, at least on the larger sizes. How much seatpost insertion would you like to see, and on what size frame?

It’s the Pro version with integrated Battery.

should easily run a 210 dropper. the bike is ok i guess but its not enough to make me want to spend the money. its basically the same frame with the same constraints as the original. they no doubt will have an enduro offering in the future, but i guess not this season. the mondraker looks better, but that bike is not going to hit a reasonable pricepoint. i would take a trunnion shock over a clevis.
 
Can't reveal sources but may or may not have just seen one in the flesh with a M2 motor (with 150nm) and 700wh battery. I'm sworn to secrecy though so that's all I can say!

150nm and 700wh battery is plain dumb. Why the heck would they put a smaller battery in their most powerful bike? Amflow did well with their first bikes but I have a feeling the next ones are gonna not be as popular. I guess we will see... soon.

I’ll get the 700wh if crestline offers it. I predict the opposite. M2 is going to change a lot of Bosch/brose guys over to Avinox.

Can you tell us how the down tube looked? Was it thinner then the current Amflows or about the same?

So are we assuming the 700wh battery is thinner in diameter then the current 600 or 800wh batteries?
 
They said the battery tech was better - again couldn't give any real info. But yeah it looks a lot slimmer than a bike with an 800wh. Not sure about the 600s.

The previous 800 and 600 were same diameter just different length is my understanding, so it seems this is something different. The latest video on the Atherton bike shows a very slim downtube too which I assume is the new 700.

There will be plenty of Avinox powered bikes with more travel being released. Most likely in the coming weeks.

I'm not a fan of composed seat post insertion, but the Amflow is just a powered Stumpjumper, arguably the most successful mountain bike of all time. 150/160 is what I would target too.
 
The biggest drawback(enough to rule it out)on the Amflow bikes for me is the kinked seat tube.

While it's perfectly Ok for flat and dh riding, it's a climbing killer. I guess anyone who likes climbing(a lot) would agree.

Every ° or % more you point your bike uphill, exactly that does the angle of seat tube decrease(you don't want that when climbing). That becomes exaggerated if the rider has long legs and a bigger frame(longer seat tube).

If the seat tube is straight, both of the mentioned problems still exist to a point but are much less evident when riding.
