Hi all new this week and just fitted them except for the cassette , would love your opinions as to have I lost the plot with the new wheels , mixing new and retro styles together, I’m still on the fence atm , I may have other plans for the new wheels yet or as I’ve not used them might even sell them on , unsure , instead of purple hubs , black discs and black rims , we have smoke grey hubs , purple discs and obviously silver rims .
Good or bad , thumbs up or down, I can take it 😊

Aesthetically pleasing to say the least what a set up 😍💯🔥

I got an Ergon E-MTB saddle to try. I’m hoping it will help minimize sliding off the back of the saddle while doing steep, technical climbs. More than likely it’s poor riding form but, greater minds than mine have created a “fix” for my problem🙄. REI had 20% off and I had $38 in reward points so I figured I might as well give it a shot. Since I’m an REI member, I have 1 year to try it out to see if it works out.

Now it's drying out 2 x Assegai Maxxgrip DD to replace the front Shorty 2's.

Already have 2 x DHR2 Maxxgrip DD bought for a nice price few months ago to replace the rear High Roller 3's.

Shortys and High Rollers will be stashed for when it gets wet again.

Get a shiver passing this place. On the slabs on the right front wheel was on top and rear on bottom. Stalled bike so too high to put foot down so over to left I went. The big rock on left was further over to right so that's what the ribs landed on. Lucky really be five years ago now. Jocks being hard as nails and thick as well they don't xray us if no blood.

Stop the presses, we have a new style-king now. My daughter says those grips “slay” which I believe is a good thing (at least I think it means good).
I gave those to my granddaughter even she wouldn't put them on her bike but I will. Certain lad on here could use them I think

Bought a WTB Solano saddle to (hopefully) replace my WTB Volt which is the best saddle I've ever had.

Why?

When I cannot fault the Volt?

EXCEPT it seems that when I drop the seat I move forward just far enough to hook the bottom of my jacket/jersey/T over the front of the saddle, then have to unhook myself before moving around which of course pisses me off. The Solano is about 25mm shorter than the Volt (240 vs 265mm) so hopefully won't hook like the Volt but be just as comfortable. We. Shall. See.
WTB Solano has much less padding than the WTB Volt, so it's back to the Volt.

Swore by them for many years not sure why I changed. Just use whatever came with bike this time 🤷 . I still wear padded lycra shorts under trackies so dock is we'll padded. I think after 5 hours on bike it doesn't matter what I put on.

Not technically the bike, but for the rider... some Endura MT500 D30 Ghost D30 knee pads.

Apart from in my DH days, I've never used knee pads as I don't like the feeling of them, but I pranged my knee pretty badly yesterday so thought I should probably get some thin ones to at least have some kind of protection.

Scored them for £40 new from the STW Classifieds. I think RRP is around £80, which is crazy for pads!

I had two small shin scoors from contact with pedals so wore them at Tarland. I soon forgot I had them on and mine are big clumpy ones 20 year old probably. Sods law be the elbow next time I crash.

if she has an OTB your wife's take might be a bit too honest!
