What ebike to buy, changing from Whyte e180

I've had a Whyte e180s since 2021 and have really enjoyed it. It's had a few issues along the way with the crap SRAM brakes being a constant bug and so I swapped to Shimano saints. The form died pretty early on too.
Overallt though it handled great and was a beast for riding South Wales trails.

What is the best value bike around £5k that doesn't spec SRAM brakes and preferably runs a Bosch motor with 800w battery? I ride mostly risca/cwmcarn, did and some Welsh off piste.

You can get a whyte kado rs for about 4400/4500 then you've got spare cash to swap the brakes out for hopes or something and get a few other upgrades

for 5k you should have plenty of choice, you wanting anything specific like long or short travel etc.

Ideally something that is around 160-180mm travel

More an update e160 I think.

See what next month brings if you are in no hurry. There will be a replacement for the E-180 and it will be using Avinox

If the battery, frame and motor are all still good why not spend the money upgrading the bits you don't like? You could change the brakes easily enough and, if they haven't been done get the motor and suspension serviced. Even adding new wheels and upgrading the forks to 3.1 spec would still save you a load of money.

I've upgraded a lot of it over the last 5 years. It's got saints, zeb ultimates, SRAM wireless and a few other bits. It's on its 2nd motor and has been regularly services. I'm looking for a new bike not to keep this one really.
