Velduro Rogue 170/165 mullet Enduro with DJI

These are indeed concerning.

Have you already contacted Velduro about it? Can you let us know what they had to say about it?

Afaik they use the Giant manufacturing line in Taiwan for their frames I would have expected less problems with the frame tolerances.
I believe the NZ frames are coming out of the Giant factory in China, which does little to allay these concerns.

I received my Rogue last week and as much as it rides awesome there's lots of first model problems if you ask me

*Idler pully not in alignment with chainring causing noise and premature wear
*Seat stay caliper posts too long for the advertised 200mm rear rotor spec - need to run 203mm disc for full pad contact
*Rear axle hit and miss with length
*Motor mount bolt hit and miss with length
*Seat post not able to fully insert because internal bore has daggs left from manufacture
*chain stay rubber protection peels off as soon as your heel catches it
I contacted them about a lekkie chainring and they sent a new rear axle (old one was fine but shorter) and mounting bolt for the idler, since putting everything on shifting and pedaling is way quieter! Though got mine a couple months ago, so should have these on all the new frames by now I would think! 😅 otherwise I don’t have dropper, chainstay protection, or motor bolt issues.

Hi guys, just thought i’d clear a couple of things up as I have just completed my build and first ride here in Aus…

Frame came shipped with updated shorter axle, a bunch of motor mount shims and updated idler mount and shims to adjust alignment.
Rear brake posts are 203mm as previously mentioned.

Just logged a 36km ride with 25% battery remaining, very happy with the quality of the ride… really smooths out the chatter.

The last sentence is probably the interesting one: At the time of delivery the bikes will be equipped with the most recent available avinox variant.

On top they are saying that orders to be delivered in April are sold out and you can preorder for delivery in May.

I am still betting Avinox will announce at Taipei Cycle Show (Mar 25th) and since Crestline "kind of confirmed" that their first batch of 181.2 (landing around that time) will have the new motor...
...I am hoping that those like me who ordered the first batch of Velduros to be shipped to EU (also end of Mar) will be in for a treat :)

Only time will tell :)

@Velduro UK said many months ago that all who pre ordered will be happy…

Regarding the comments above, there’s not much more we can share just yet, but what we can say is that no one will be disappointed with the frameset they receive in spring 2026.
i read that as that we will all get the new one

As well as the production frame rather than the preprod, with the claimed cat5, longer swingarm in l and xl and dual crown compatibility.
Although i wouldn't mind the 440mm cs.
I hope i wont be as disappointed as when the gen4 levo was unveiled.

I just read a little about some of the rumors that are being discussed. One thing that seems to be certain is that the charging port is going to be different. Could this be the reason for the a bit unfortunate last minute change of the charge port design on the Rogue that causes the limited compatibility with shocks?

I love a good conspiracy whilst watching and waiting for parts and frames to turn up 😁

Cant really see that this bike would need more power. I've dialled back auto mode (where I spend 90% of my time) to 80nm and 700w max, with trail mode 85nm and 800w. Turbo mode is too much for most trails I ride, but good on fire roads. Boost is fun for a bit but too easy to loose traction if the trail is low grip. Not sure how an M2 could be "better" - M1 is pretty spot on in my opinion.

What sort of range are you getting? Please give your weight, riding conditions, weather etc if you don't mind sharing

Just watched MBR’s new Mini Review, he seems a bit miffed that his motor stopped working

Also a bit contradicting..... Got the bike in 29 mode with a 27 rear wheel and says the bb is ridiculously low, but then says he's had no pedal strikes.

I'm looking forward to the full review, these little click bait clips are pointless

My take, even though he's running it in 29'er mode and hence the low BB... he hasn't experienced pedal strikes while riding bike park. Sounds like a positive, cause later in another short he says the high setting is "less immersive"...

Very true, it's all to get the clicks up ready for the big review

They know the rogue is going to very popular so they are just milking the traffic to their site while they can

Plus, don't forget that NONE of the bikes that are currently in people's hands are the full production spec. So everything should be taken with a pinch of salt and class it has hype

Personally, il make my own mind up with how good the bike is and whether it's a good fit for me as no two riders are the same

I'm just excited to receive my frame, build it up and shred it. It's the first time I've gone full blind on a bike without even seeing one in the flesh and looking forward to a completely new experience

Same, purchased this off the back of a review a very long time ago it seems now, and it’s frame only, can’t wait to build it

Same opinion here. If the M2 turns out to be a more powerful but heavier motor than the M1 then that would be a downgrade for me.
If it really uses the same mountpoints maybe I can get someone to trade in that case...

Same here, after riding a friend’s amflow I knew dji was the choice and being frame only makes the build personal and more exciting!

I don’t expect it to be anything other than what it is listed as with the already available motor rather than either of the new ones rumoured.

I am 95% sure the mount points are the same. Why?

1) I asked Velduro if I could buy the ride wrap kit for the 2026 bike I am still due to get and they said yes the design ride wrap have is the final one (ans ride wrap's product code is the same regardless of whether you select 2026 or 2025)

2) it is quite expensive to make a new frame mold and since Velduro started producing frames for the APAC market I am pretty sure they wanted to be sure they didn't have to manufacture new ones for the '26 bikes just a few months later.

Not sure I would go for the full Ridewrap again. Some bits really didnt fit that well - XL frame - most notably the cutout on the bottom of the down tube.

XL frame, 99kg, 43Km, 948m, 37% battery left. Sunny and warm 23 celsius. Dry with a mix of loose, firm, rooty terrain. Mainly in auto. Pretty happy with that. Same ride on my Reign e+ with a 625w battery would have seen me walking home 5km ealrier.

Hopefully the touted 450mm for the L & XL we were promised back in October. I had based my order on this info, but probably less bothered now if they arrive at 440mm.
The April delivery should be on the boat by now heading here, so whatever it is, its locked in.

Would a new rocker be required for a +10mm of chainstay length? Unlikely, wonder what this is for
