Specialized Levo 4 Firmware Update: 850W, 111Nm, and a Free OTA Power Unlock

The first over-the-air update for the Specialized Levo 4 goes live today, 17th February 2026 . It bumps peak power to 850W on S-Works and 810W on standard models , smooths out the speed limiter transition, and refines overrun behaviour.

Just turned the bike on and opened the phone app and it says I've got the find the nearest retail or dealer to do the install ? Any ideas
 
Can anyone say anything about the efficiency of the system? Has something happened with regard to power consumption? Thx!
 
Hope this update doesn’t break the motor like all the gen 3 motors out there. Can’t trust their engineers anymore.

I rode my usual loop and consumption was typical. Starting from 100% I usually complete the day at low to mid 40% battery. I had 42% remaining on Saturday. More experience will indicate further but I haven't noticed any meaningful difference in consumption post update.

All settings stayed the same. I run Turbo 100/100 with Shuttle and Responsiveness maxed; Overrun at middle setting.

We all know the power limit is sufficient already but why would you buy an underpowered bike when there are better alternatives out there.

🤣I’ve got a Sworks and funny you should mention the moaning , but as I thought about the update and more power I kept thinking where the hell im going to use it 🤷‍♂️ok sure I do ride up some narley terrain but not at 43km hour and when I’m peddling up a farm rd it’s normally on my own out in the sticks Suppose it great to have and the response etc has been improved but the extra 110 watts ? Probably when I drag a DJI (but I’m pretty sure he will still give me carrots) don’t get me wrong it’s amazing to get but the more I spoke on the forum the more I tried understanding where I’d use it

Sorry for the minor off-topic:

A few pro ebike riders live in my area, notably the ebike XC world champ (yes, this is a thing) who is very talented and rides Bosch (with an unofficial race mode that pushes things to the extreme), and a EWS-E top rider that has won power stages, also on Bosch.

There is a long technical climb that takes us amateurs just over 10 minutes to climb. The world champ does it in 9:28, the pro rider does it in 9:43. A few weeks ago a good local amateur on a DJI rocked up and posted an 8:43. So basically any ebike racing that features even a tiny bit of uphill is going to be dominated by DJI and now Specialised, despite the fact that 90% of the field are sponsored by Bosch bikes. Don't see the discipline having any legs, ironically.

No problem with the update. Had to turn the bike off and on after the update for it to take. Saw a peak of 805 watts in my 5 minute underground parking garage test (y)

Specialized are aware of the walk mode noise and are "looking into it". They said it only affects a small number of riders (not sure about that)

Has anyone done the update and NOT have the walk mode grinding noise?
