I
I have changed my mind I am returning Albert though it got a little bit less rolling resistance and ordering 29 MM trail pro ultra soft but they are not available until february/march and that's ok since the snow won't disappear before mid march.
I want good grip and how fast they wear down is for me not a problem.
27.5 MM gravity soft I'm keeping.
tis summer here so wet and hot winters are dry and lowest we get is -2 or -3 not bad never never snows

I have been running Albert front back and it’s been good for this hard pack in Southern California. As everything drys out and becomes loose dirt and dust I’m thinking sherdda in the front mm or Albert in the back. The Albert wear quick, that’s the only negative but I bought 6 or so for cheap so who cares. Good tires, lots of grip. MM has knobs much more spaced apart so may not be for sure loose conditions that we have in California. What are you guys running in similar conditions?

I’m running the gold and they are excellent. Modulation is good but they can get noisy when hot or wet. I ran magura mt7 and while those are known for modulation, I feel mavens have tons more power which is nice on heavy braking trails. I’m curious if anyone is running red pads and how they like them?
I put a set of MTX Reds on my front Caliper because I didn't like the grabbiness and lack of modulation on the SRAM metals. They are much better with modulation and quiet although I haven't run them in wet conditions yet. Left the metals on the back. I'm not getting any noise back there but they are grabby. I have the MTX Golds on my other bike and they do make noise.

Try - 18 celsius on ice / snow and you know what cold and slippery is.
Yohhh that’s crazy the worst like I mentioned is -3 but we get super hot here though 33 degrees Celsius then you cooking , but we don’t have manicured trails like Europe stuff I see on YouTube is amazing

Shredda is designed for deep gloopy mud. It won't work so well in dry conditions. The knobs are too tall and will sit on top of hardpack and loose dust. Magic mary's seem to work well in a lot of conditions. I have tried all the radial combinations but Magic Mary trail front and gravity rear are still my favorite tyres for all round conditions. Shredda's front and rear for the current United Kingdom rain and mud. Just my opinion so take it with a pinch of salt...

New software for Levos Gen 4 is OTA and ITP (in the post) they sending Magic Mary Shreddas to all UK based clients
MM Trails for the rest of the world . release date is erratic due to sanctions on Greenland ( absolutely un relevant)

I just listened to the Downtime podcast with Drew from Loam Wolf and he said there are 2 power updates coming soon, but wouldn't say for what motors.......

But can I get Shraddas instead of MM if I forgo 5 Nm of torque and don't install the update immediately? And in Europe, please send all by fax. Thank you.

do you get any brake fade with MTX reds on the front? I love them on my pedal bikes. I tried MTX golds front and rear and they're too noisy. power and modulation is good and they are bedded in correctly.

Also just fast forwarded to his mentioning it and I think you correct , he says that from the brand that’s said they are upping the power was the last thing he expected from this brand “he was expecting a lighter version or …… etc “ so if you are positive and read between the lines HOPEFULLY ITS SPESH DOING ITS THANG

I wonder what SRAM Transmission's torque/power limit is.
I think the transmission isn’t the issue I honestly believe the hubs can’t handle the power , DT Swiss 240 Ratchet is magnificent but it buckles under load two bikes now Levo Gen 4’s both times my gears were slipping or so I thought , changed to E bike hubs -Hope 5 and Chris King and not one skip even full of water and muck

I have the 52t ratchet in a DTswiss 350 hub and it's been in 3 Levos and 3000 hard backcountry miles. Not a single problem. Ive seen people use the wrong grease and too much grease and have problems with the higher tooth ratchets.

When I got my first levo gen 4 and it started skipping the first thing Specialized Int did was send a email saying any bikes that have gears skipping must swop out the Hubs , the issues sounds like gears but the problem lies in the hubs , wasn’t what I thumb sucked it’s what they said was a problem that might happen and they are aware of the issue

Just been to my LBC and they are a Specialized shop , when I mentioned that thier might be a upgrade comming soon , workshop manger (gets sent in training courses etc on specialized) piped up and said it’s only a upgrade on watts for the Sworks (so he kinda let the cat out the bag) went on to say it’s not going to be a massive update the torque you would feel but as far as power goes it’s not night and day
So I’m at 98% positive updates coming and soon
And I’m at 200% excitement for update

That's what the screen shots form the taken down video also stated.

S-Works: 111NM/850W
Standard: 105NM/810W

Just got all the scoop ..... everyone is going to be very happy... on both sides of the spectrum.... all I can say.. Mid feb
Do you think they’ll fix it and allow the assist level to be set below 10%, or introduce an auto - - mode for those who don’t want a motorcycle, but a bicycle?
