Pre-order starts next month - Next Crestline Avinox frame set

what group set are you guys going with? Anyone have a link with compatible 155mm cranks and axs?

Pretty sweet it comes with the sram power cord! Smoothshift will be nice.
I already hoarded parts during the sales in November.... I picked up a GX Transmission emtb (Bosch) groupset. I think it comes with 160mm cranks. Had to pick up a separate 34t 104bcd chainring though

Avinox spindles are ISIS
Oh ok, so can’t get any of the full group sets and will have to part it to get cranks separate right? Idk I’m a little confused on it. If anyone starts an order for this bike and doesn’t mind sharing link to what drive setup they go with I’d appreciate it!

I hope I'm not giving bad info... maybe someone can correct me if I am wrong. But I think you can get this:

and a set of isis cranks

Thank you and that is a bit confusing.
It is, and if building a emtb is new to you realizing the spider and crank are separate on the drive side, unlike mtbs, adds a layer.

Any 104 BCD chainring works with the Avinox spider (thanks Avinox for sticking to a standard) but one specific to your drivetrain is necessary. Since most are probably going Sram for the smooth shift function, this is your best bet. Tooth count is up to you, Avinox can use 32, 34, 36 on a Spectre

Ordered, black, 600wh, fox x2, excited!

TBH, it’s expensive… but meanwhile might be the best bang of buck if doing custom build enduro gig, in US market. All other options cost 8k+ for a full bike with some crap parts…

You guys are terrible at keeping secrets, sheesh. Per the e-mail this was supposed to be kept on the DL till 1-11-26.

It's crazy how many other manufacturers say they can't make money selling frame only, and the opportunities that are being squandered as Crestline sells out at premium, but fair pricing. Good for him.

Every Bosch bike manufacturer could offer frame sets with the CXR at a $7K price point and sell them easily, the market is so hungry for premium e-bike frames without having to pay $14K for a bunch of parts they don't want. Transition, Yeti, Santa Cruz, etc. all missing golden opportunities and a way to make the current Bosch look appealing again.

Also, OT but I'm really sick of the Trump tax on damn near everything I buy or order now. Troyden mentioned he ate $100K in tariff charges on the last go around of 99 units and he mentions it again. China will pay it my ass!

What secret? I didn't get an email. The bike is right on the Crestline website. It is available for anyone, not through some exclusive link or password protected page. It's not a secret.

If you look at the specs for 181.1, it says

And if you look at the specs for the 181.2... it says

If this bike was coming with an M1, then there was no need to make it so vague. Just sayin'.

I agree. The "plenty of torque" is also a tell.
I wonder what embargo was supposedly restricting sales.
Weird the RS coil is $0.99 less expensive than air. Assuming someone messed up. lol

it restricts shipping/announcement before a certain date. not sales.
I'm very knowledgeable about product embargoes. My understanding was that sales were not available earlier due to an embargo; so I'm wondering what changed?

Yes, but the M2 was going to be heavier, and the weights the same. I think someone is cashing in on the speculation.

And the touchscreen must be the same one on the M1, because it requires FCC approval, which cannot be granted on a new DJI communication device in the US. The screen has the Sim Card, Bluetooth and other wireless communication protocols. The current touchscreen got FCC approval before Dec 23rd because of it's communication device status, so is fine in the US.

do you have problems understanding the english language?

Please note that the release timing on these frames is affected by parts and/or components that are currently under manufacturer embargo. Because of that, I won’t be able to openly discuss any details or give an exact ship date just yet, but rest assured, you’ll be getting the latest and greatest as soon as that date hits.

Time to start getting parts. I couldn’t get the shock I wanted with the other options on the frame. Hopefully they may swap it for me or I’ll sell the air shock I had to option. Kinda want to try a Vorsprung shock anyway.
I have the Vorsprung Telum on my mtb and RS181. 👍🏻
