Pre-order starts next month - Next Crestline Avinox frame set

so far we only have some rumors by users (based on a claimed 2026 UNNO order book) and a statement by the uk velduro importer that could be read as a confirmation but not explicitly stated.

the only difference to this and a random user claiming things on a forum is that it comes in video form. that is not what i would call a credible source…

any other non „trust me bro“ sources?

Taken from the Forbidden druid core/ lite fb page. Theres nothing concrete out there but lots of rumors and leaks that point to the same info.

it usually takes 8-12 weeks to ship stuff from asia to europe. therefore, any bike with a new motor must be shipped around the end of january at the latest to be available for the claimed april launch for all the claimed new avinox bikes. imho there should be more leaks from the supply chain by now if that’s true…

I told you Troydon already messaged me the same thing because I asked this exact question. And emtbr is trustworthy. Not sure what more you want but also don’t really care if you believe it or not lol

why? because you said so?

Like I said, the new Crestline will have an updated Avinox motor that is now quiet both up, and down. That I'm certain of and am not guessing. Maybe it'll just be the current updated M1, or instead the M2. I don't know.
As far as other possible improvements, these are just guesses based on tidbits here and there. But I think it'll be more efficient, more powerful & slightly heavier based on what I've read from several sources. IMO, the weight is not for extra power but it's actually what allows them to have silence and efficiency moving forward, similar to the solution that Bosch has on the Gen 5. Probably.
It's undeniable that some Avinox's rattle, that there were some mid production changes that vary in their effectiveness, that also appear to have negatively effected efficiency.
You have a great bike Sethimus in the Rogue, but bikes and the motors keep improving. Not sure why it bothers you so much that there is room for improvement, to the point where you take it personally and attack others. It's pretty immature.

Honestly guys, your bitching back and forth ruins all threads you participate in. I don't care who is right or wrong, in either case it brings little to nothing of value. Before you hit "post" the next time ask yourself if anyone should care what you have to say, it's probably a no. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

Was the first Avinox that noisy? I have the 2026 version amflow and my Avinox I guess is the updated one (not the m2, but they made some changes to the original). My motor is dead quiet as far as any rattles or anything.

So the crestline will at minimum have the Avinox with the updates like amflow has now and should be totally quiet on my experience.

They clearly vary in noise level. Dozens of online reviews and personal reports say that they rattle, but now it's very common to read that they don't from people that have a single example.
So both can be true.
Plus there is terrain, rear suspension design, hearing, engine settings, etc. that could be effecting the noise level as well.
Glad that you got a quiet one.

I’m pretty sure I read they made changes to the motor from the original making it tighter and more quiet. So you may be hearing about noise from the original, but everything from here on out should be updated. I got mine end of August. It’s dead quiet even in the roughest chunk. Know a few other guys with Avinox bikes now that have no complaints as well.

So I wouldn’t be worried about engine noise from the new crestline. Avinox has their crap together and is really disrupting the industry in a good way. Beyond just the pure power, small form factor, constant updates to include things like smooth shift, integration to the dji action cameras (just got action 6 and it’s super sick to connect to the bike and click handlebar button to record and see it’s recording on bike), integration to axs, etc.

My RS181 which has the Avinox motor cover(not DJI) has some chunk/down hill rattle(even with the E13 Sidekick hub)
I hope Troydon or DJI will offer an anti-rattle updated for us.

We don’t know if the motor cover and the updates coincide. I can just tell you I haven’t heard anyone complaining on all the 2026 amflows, and people love to complain about a rattle. So again, I think the Avinox will be good to go as far as rattles on the new crestline.

Just out of curiosity, when did you get your crestline? This late 2025 motor update is probably for amflow bikes too since they get first access. So it’s possible you still have the older motor. Maybe I’m wrong though, who knows.

OT: refresh my memory, do you find that the E13 hub provides some improvement in rear suspension performance on your Crestie?
Did it reduce rattle at all?

The irony of this very thorough sounding Ai overview is that it's based on what's already been said in these very threads.

Our own musings repackaged as gospel 😂

(Not at all a jab at your post, just a comment on the current state of humanity in general)

Based on the recent Crestline insta story with the white frame it looks like Troydon received his new batch production sample(s). If that includes a successfully de-rattled motor update I would guess we can expect to hear him confirm as much when the pre-sale opens up.

It does remove some rattle, as well as VPP kickback.
It’s tough though, because I compare my current emtb to my dream machine Anakin V2. Which has an amazing rear suspension platform with no kickback and no noise. So when I hop on my emtb any noise is noticeable to me, as well as suspension performance. Both bikes have identical ZEBs and identical Telum’s…..other than fine tuning for bike weight differences.

What do you crestline owners think of this review? Do you think this comes down to suspension setup? In my head I just believed the crestline is like THE smasher emtb to get and this review kind of makes it seem otherwise. Either way I still really want a crestline, just surprised by the review.

I think it's a dope bike and you'd be stoked on it.

Troyden did jump in the PB comments and pointed out that the shock set up they utilized was less than ideal and might have lead to what they experienced with the rear suspension end of travel feel.

I will tell you that it takes me months to get my suspension set up correct on my bikes, yah I'm not great at it, and it makes a huge difference when I finally get it just right. For me. Something as simple as that could make all of the difference.

Agreed.
Why I put my trust in Vorsprung Suspension to set up my new Telum’s for each bike, and make my ZEBs soak up everything with there Secus. More riding, less fiddling with knobs! 🤘🏻

I think it does come down to setup and them only having a short time on ANY bike. I also think it comes down to the difficult job of trying to come up with "interesting" things to say. I'd agree with the general premise that it's a bike big that doesn't feel like a big bike. It's well thought out and high quality. Per the Vital podcast, he's may be coming out with a bolt in BB to lose the battery and motor and with a 200mm link in the works it's truly a quiver killer, if you want it to be. With months of riding and having Fluid Focus tune the shocks on my last few bikes so I can't relate to PB's issues there.

I’ve got the Bosch gen 5 version but I assume it’s a similar suspension feel to the DJI bike. If anyone has ridden both and noticed any difference in suspension I’d love to hear it.

With that being said I think the suspension feels really good once you get the shock situated. I went back and forth between 160 and 180 travel, and settled on 180 travel with a little under 30% sag on the coil and exactly 30 with the air. Running a super deluxe ultimate coil and vivid that were both tuned for the Nomad 5 (which I think is a pretty similar suspension design).

The settings on the shock are going to make or break the feel over the suspension design itself. Once I got the shocks dialed with HSC in the middle and LSC closer to open, it started to feel really really good 👍

I read somewhere that there will be an option for a 600wh battery this time around. Anyone else hear this?

Almost January!! Who's ready for the new crestline plaid edition!!!! I sure am
Wish I knew when they are going on sale. I'm traveling and don't want to miss out. I hoarded new parts for this bike with all the sales going on lol.

On the spectre thread someone posted a screen shot from Troydon saying Jan 1. But who know that was back in september.
