Yeah, it would be refreshing for a manufacturer to not changes the standards every time. You can forgive people for expecting that!
Watching this with interest seeing as Cycle to Work hasn't been canned yet... 😂
 
I'd be curious to know what chainstay length is at sag in size large, and what type of bearing is in that idler.
Forbidden went with solid lube bearings there to deal with the load that the dji is capable of dishing out.

In the video Andi said its about 450ish, so if thats correct probably 455-460 at sag. Really looking forward to seeing the geo chart. He also mentioned the chainstay had double bearings so if Teewing are going that much trouble hopefully they'll 'over' engineer the idler pulley mount too :)

Its 452mm according to my tape measure that's static. I have a geo chart but I need to check over it properly as some numbers don't make sense. I've also been told an updated idler has already been developed, I think it should be with me today.
 
452 is a good middle ground Chainstay, I’d be happy with that on a large :)

Here’s hoping they offer a frameset :)

Any more pics or info you are allowed to share would be greatly appreciated :)
 
Hey @B Rabbit , great news. Just got this email from Teewing. Looks like Pushy's will be selling Teewing. I buy a lot from Pushy's. They normally have great pricing, and stores in Brisbane and Canberra.

So the Teewing Flux could be a contender mid next year or possibly later. Might be worth holding out for.

Woah! That’s awesome, nice work! they didn’t mention a frame only in either model, hopefully they consider them for the Aussie market.
 
That bike pictured is just the standard Teewing design, no the high pivot 🤷‍♂️

Nice, that's certainly an improvement on the velduro.
460-470 would be better, but I imagine forbidden will snag that piece of pie with their e-dreadnought next year.
 
Here we go again. - Guys support you regional distributors...unless you want to warranty your bike back to China and a not to TeeWing, which I dont believe the bikes are available from someone else and not them as the parent and design company .. TeeWing is Legit. the rest ...at your own risk. As for me I'll be supporting my distributor here in the States.

Who do we have here in the US? I know of Drip e-bikes, are there others?
 
Motor comes with the Light Carbon DJI frame, but the screen shot the poster posted was of the trail Teewing that came out months ago. Pretty sure LC sold out of that. In Australia the pricing for the teewing frame and the LC was about the same, so may as well go Teewing.
 
I'm not spending AUD$5K on a frame and motor system that is not directly supported by someone within driving distance of my home. I don't do business that way.

Now the Flux will probably be more expensive. Probably at least AUD$6K. The Velduro is AUD$7K without the shock. So if the Flux is not supported locally. I will gladly pay AUD$1K more for the Velduro. I just don't need the headache and worries when I'm out riding, that if I damage something, it's a massive headache to get components.

I'm buying a 180/180 Enduro EMTB here, not some jewelery. The riding and terrain is going to be aggressive. Whilst I am quite the bike mechanic and keep my bikes in near immaculate shape. I will need the components well supported. And 90% of my build selection is based on availability and pricing of serviceable components.

Hmmm ...... New video out on the Flux. Andy's bike used. I did get to see it will be Category 4

Also interesting that it's travel is 170/178. Whilst Andy said it comes with a 180mm travel fork.

Need this stuff clarified, as I'm only interested in a frame that supports a 180 fork. I'm not going to argue over 2mm in rear travel. But I want 180/180, as I already have a 160/150 Amflow, which I could fit a 170 fork to.

The 170/178 isnt referring to front and rear travel, its referring to rear travel being 170mm in 29er and 178mm with a 27.5 wheel. It runs a 180mm fork, pretty sure that part is non negotiable, although maybe you could run a 190mm if you wanted? :)
You can see a better pic of the down tube sticker on the first page of this thread :) Its the same category as the first Teewing ebike :)
In Andi's test i think he referenced running a 170mm fork (maybe by mistake?) and he got a fair few pedal strikes and switched to 180mm and all was fixed.
I've asked the new aussie distributor (Pushys) if they are planning to offer frame onlys of Teewing bikes, havent heard back yet.
