I've been wanting to get the Sram powercord for my AXS derailleur for a while but the over 160 euros required have always held me back.
Yet another battery change on the fly on the trail, however, made me change my mind and so, still convinced that I didn't want to spend over 150 euros for a cable, I built my own. At motor level, the only thing I had to do was to have the port on the motor enabled for high absorption by a Bosch centre.
Total cost of the work:
8 euros for the protection of the battery compartment of the Sram Axs derailleur (which I already had)
1.5 euros for a 3A step-down module
8.8 euros for the Bosch cable for third-party HPP applications
heat shrink, double core cable, and epoxy I already had them.
Once the adapter was made I resined everything with elastic epoxy resin.
tested it in the dry and it works, we'll see over time if it proves reliable (in the meantime I'm still going around with a spare battery) and how it goes in wet and rainy conditions.

Bravo👏

What is the voltage input setting for the AXS derailleur and how did you setup the contacts?

Thanks

I believe it’s a 7.2v battery. I was planning on doing the same as this and hadn’t realized someone else already did it!

Use this picture as reference, for the voltage I’ve set it to 8V

can you share links to buy the parts?

- 1.5 euros for a 3A step-down module
- 8.8 euros for the Bosch cable for third-party HPP applications

Thanks

I am also interested in links to the supplies would like to do this as well. Thank you.

I just built the cable myself. Redesigned it a little bit because on the AXS GX the mounting point of the battery connector is slightly different. Case ist selfmade (3d printed ABS and TPU for the bend protection) Nice profit SRAM 🤣

Some soldering and glueing needed.
On the higo connector blue wire is - and black wire +

BOM
2.5mm brass Sticks for contacts.

DCDC step down set to 8V

Higo Micro A Cable (DJI Avinox)
HIGO-S2-MA

Nice one! Wanted to go the same route and contacted this shop selling the higo conector multiple times but they never responded.

Do you still have the stl files to print that? or are they openly available somewhere? Would love to go the same route before paying 130€ for that stupid cable.

Here you go. Ich printed the Housing with ABS and the Cable hose in TPU.

Too bad I cant find any cable online as an alternative for the above named one. One shop in Belgium has them as well. :D

The guy who owned the shop e-bike-technologies.de that carried the Higo cable retired end of October. You can buy the shop including website and remaining stock if you want. (Please do and sell a cable to me 😁 ).

A guy in a different thread (I think it was the amflow one) used a Bosch cable to connect a lamp to the battery, which seems to have the required Higo Micro A connector on one side and a Bosch one on the other. The cable is even 1300mm long, so more than enough to cut down. Cable number is U-SNPC-BC1300 and at least in europe this thing is widely available but does cost around 14€ instead of 7€ what the above mentioned one costs. I have the cable already here and it looks ok to me. Connector says Higo. Seems like the cable connector is the one used in Z205BG P 00 S4 1000 instead of the Z205AG P 00 AW 1000 .. The contact inside should work though. Might need tape around it. But at least there is something else to be used.
Still could not find a different source for Z205AG P 00 AW 1000.

14€ is still less than 140€ or whatever that Sram adapter will cost you. Nice find. Can you give a quick feedback when you mount it that this actually fits?

I was also looking quite intensively for the Higo (official manufacturer code is Z205AG P 00 AW 1000) but I only found shops selling to professionals, probably in bulk only. I was thinking of just cutting the cable on the motor and soldering the two cables together. But having a connector is preferable when you want to take the motor out. Otherwise you would have to cut and resolder every time you do.

Instead you could just cut out this annoying Higo thingy and put your own connector pair into the loop.

Yeah, that's also a possibility. But somehow it feels better to have the original connector.

Thought so too in the end and bought the original cable on ebay for 100 bucks. I too needed it for an amflow and considered the eBike price and the cost for all the part replacements I did I really don't care for some additional pennies 😁

I just tested it out. Works flawlessly. Clips right into the cable on the motor. There is no slack in the connector. Looks like a perfect match. My only downsides are the step down modules. The motor applies 12.5v on the cable, tested 4 modules so far. None was giving me an output under 10v 🥳🥳 lucky me I guess

Some different ones but the same almost. The fourth one actually worked. It's on 7.8V coming from 12.5V. My soldering iron gave up when putting it all together.. Buying the cable from SRAM might be as expensive in the end lol :D

Hi
Can you approve that the Higo on Cable number is U-SNPC-BC1300 is appropriate to be connected to DJI mottor ?

U-SNPC-BC1300 apears to be a universal No. for a lighting cable from which you select which motor it is for.
That part number on it's own is NOT for a cable with DJI connector on the end.

It has a female Higo connector on the end. The cable is thicker though (as expected for a cable to power a lamp). It fits perfectly on the drive unit cable of the DJI Avinox motor and sends 12.5V through. Nothing else needed really. The only thing that might NOT work is getting the cable through you chainstay on your bike since it might be to thick (connector has 5.3mm).. It does work on my Forbidden Druid Core though. Soldered it to a dc stepdown module that I set up to 7.8v output voltage. S1000 AXS derailleur works and smoothshift as well.

Thanks,
I am in the process of making a cable to connect the power to the AMFLOW bike shifter from DJI motor.
I have all the parts except the plug that connects to the DJI motor. Can you send me a link to purchase any power cable that I can cut the connector from to fit.

Thank you, do you have a link to purchase such a cable with a connector that will fit the power supply connector for the rear gear on the DJI motor. My intention is to cut the plug and use it.

Hi, please note I meant the connector circled (see attach). Is this Higo plug suitable for connecting to DJI?
