Forbidden Druid - Avinox Powered

I did first ride in rain and wireless remote (menu button) stopped working. I opened it after getting back home and found that there was water inside and the humidity indicator seem to be agreeing as well.

I tried to turn it on after drying it but it doesn’t work. I ordered new battery just in case.

Anyone experiencing water problems with Avinox remote?
where is that port located? maybe some boat grease could hep

That's another thing the vivid has over the SD is adjustable bottom out control. I have the build 2 btw so stock wheels are heavy af. Wheelset is nobl TR36/sapim d-light spokes/sapim alloy nips/hope pro 5 hubs. I've dinged the rims a couple times and I haven't needed to true them yet.
True. I made the incorrect assumption that the sd has a linear xl can and up to eight volume tokens . It does not and is already maxed at 4 tokens for this can

I have the build 2 as well . My “hand dyno” weighed my 29er rear wheel with gravity Albert vs this mx with rear Albert and it was noticeably heavier

I had a dead battery issue after ride #2 on one of mine, I have not checked again for water ingress though. Isn't there rubber seal that sits between the case and bar?
There is rubber seal, but it doesn't seem to be doing good job. I may apply some small amount of slickoleum to help seal doing its job better.

I will wait for new battery to see if the wireless remote is truly dead or not. I will report back.

This is the wireless remote (right side one). Once you unscrew it from the bar, you can open the rubber seal inside to replace the battery. It looks like the rubber seal didn't do good job. Yeah, small amount of grease may help to seal it better.

Mine has crapped also. My AI friend😉 suggested I pull that tab up and check for shit under it. I haven't yet looked at it but apreciate your pic. I have also done one wet ride

Well done getting the battery out. I have failed at that hurdle. My lights are still flashing green which I think indicates the battery is healthy but it no longer communicates withe the display. I have done reboots a also did a new pairing but no go

Had an interesting experience today . On one of my descents that’s it fairly fast ,rough with repeated compressions and chunk , I could hear the motor spooling up and spinning occasionally . It was very similar to when smooth shift is activated while coasting , but I wasn’t shifting

Anyone experience something similar? I am wondering if it could be the sensitivity / acceleration of me putting any torque on the pedals even though I wasn’t pedaling

Only times I have this with mine is when it is slipping between gears and when my chain was too long. That’s over course of a thousand miles on an amflow

I have just wound up my sensitivity to 💯 but I haven't tested yet. The only strange thing I have noticed is once on a fairly landing I went to pedal away but it took like a rotation before the motor kicked in. This has only happened once

Update on the dead wireless remote after wet ride.

I left the remote to dry for a day and now it works again, so I can confirm it was due to water getting past the rubber seal. It looks like DJI / Avinox has some learning to do on making better weather seal for their wireless remote.

Just picked up my Druid Core 2 s3 today. very excited to ride it and check it out.

Shifting does not seem as smooth with the axs as i thought it would be, and when bike is on stand and spinning by hand it seems to bind up in the taller gears.

any one with same issue? can anyone look if they are in the "A" or "B" posistion?

Mine shifted great out of the box but sram says it's not supposed to be as smooth on the bike stand. If you go back a page you'll find my photo and another members photo of how close the jocky wheel sits against the 44t and 52t cogs. It will bind up on the bike stand only but not when riding so I think it's normal i guess? Also if you took off the rear wheel check this video

You can check the configuration to use in the axs app as long as the bike is listed in the drop down

Oo I wonder if that is what happened to me. I had removed the rear wheel the other day , and now it is doing that ghost motor spin up during descent . Thanks for posting!

Losing hope, When I ordered my Core 1 In early April I was given a delivery date of late August, That was put back to late September, September came and went, Next update was mid October That was changed to early November, Just had a call this afternoon to say it’s going to be Late December,

😩 Ouch that sucks, I've only gotten 1 ride on the Forbidden but intend to go out tomorrow if it does not rain tomorrow but its not looking good. The bike is great so far, I prefer it over the Amflow.

That’s awful. I wonder if I’ll have the same delivery date. ☹️ waiting and waiting…

Yes I was talking to guy yesterday who has done exactly that. Running ohlins 38 up front and ext coil
I was thinking similar, I run an ext coil and an avalanche hybrid coil zeb on my dreadnought v2 and am super happy with ext's valving.
I've had a few ohlins 38's, including one on my crafty xr. Decent fork, but I'm not sure I'd seek one out for a new build. I'd give the fox 38 x2 the edge, and the avy hybrid zeb outperforms both by a wide margin.

I have seen a bunch come available in 2 shops in Germany.. even the model I ordered in may in S4 size.. First time I actually see some S4 models out in the wild.
I am hoping that a bunch of s4 bikes got delivered to Germany now.. Too afraid to ask the lbs again.. Last time was 1st of october.. they did not have any new information... Ridewrap, pedals, damper already arrived.. 1-3 weeks left on my Tech4 GR4 ordered directly from the UK.. Then only the bike is missing.. I am kinda losing hope as well that it hits my lbs this month at all.. Probably november when it gets muddy and probably snowy here...
In the end the dudes of the lbs don't have the time to invest into asking over and over again.. stupid situation really.

That sucks. I saw Fanatik had the same bike I ordered from my LBS in stock and I debated ordering it — obv, it has since sold. I prefer to have a local relationship if possible, but starting to regret letting it go.

Fanatik came in clutch for me. I sent emails to forbidden, wwc, fanatik about the possibility of placing an order for an S1 LitE for my gf and the next day fanatik reached out saying they found 1 if I want it.... It's arriving at my house this Friday!

We were trying to get an order placed for the next batch so we got very lucky.

I'm not getting my hopes up down here in Oz.... the bikes have been shipped...usually 8 weeks approx. Then depends on where they land, probably Melbourne as 80% of container traffic comes through that port. Then will sit on the dock to clear customs. Then will be shipped to Sydney where the distributor is based (assuming they don't break the container apart in Melbourne). Then they will muck around prioritising shops. Then will need to be trucked back to Melbourne where my LBS is located. Of course now we are heading into late Nov or early Dec.... it's now riding season here. So they will be flat out servicing, preping etc. Then the bike will need to be ride wrapped, I'd want them to massage and bleed the brakes.... So now looking late Dec or early Jan.
I'm on a plane to the northern hemisphere early Dec and not back till late March..... so in a nutshell, resigned to mid next year. And I ain't excepting it the week before I fly out, too insanely busy getting my :poop: together for the long haul out.
Better the LBS looks after it. Sigh.....

Goddam that's appalling what's going on there. What country are you in. Maybe you need to look at a Velduro they might be available before then

Tbh I have my eye on a coil suspension tech to be precise but the vivid is performing pretty bloody well as I learn the bike

I am tempted to get a take off vivid to try. But I feel the same with the super deluxe.z. Performing very well so far. The bike has a ton of pop and carries speed so well.

I called my shop today (in NSW), he said they’re expecting the bikes at the end of this month. The boat is on the water enroute to Newcastle.

If you were closer I'd let you try out my vivid or you could just buy it from me :sneaky:
