Started the rip down build up yesterday. Boring notes (first ride will be today). Build 3, S2.

Bike is gorgeous with typical forbidden details. Nicely put together and fairly easy to work on (considering it's an ebike).

Had to drop the motor twice. Easy as mentioned above. I ended up unplugging both times, but I like the idea of leaving the one "pivot" bolt in. Replacing the rear brake was definitely a pain, but is what it is. Also had an issue swapping the dropper so had to remove it again (user error). Took the display out too to help route lines, takes 2 seconds.

After doing this, I'm going to source a 600wh battery to have ability to run both ways. The swap will be very quick. With the amount of time i have to ride in life, I'll rarely use the 850.

Rear wheel is now on the front of my boat as a new anchor...3460 grams with everything on it. Compared to 2760 grams (Advent X, DHR II, XM481, ProV4). Front wheel is 2660 vs 2270 (WAO Union, Prov4, Albert Radial). Old wheelset from dreadnought will be used for now. Once the credit card goes into it's next cycle I'll sneak a new wheelset by the boss!

Also swapped: MT7 brakes, one up v2 210 dropper, switch grade, one up carbon bars, trust shout fork.

can you please try to fully insert 210 full into the frame s2?

I'm almost positive it'll go. I had it almost all the way in (25mm out probably?) and it could have kept going. I'm not sure anything in the carbon would stop it, seems like it may go right to the motor. 240mm may have worked. If I need to adjust or take out again, I'll take another look and get a more accurate response. The issue I ran into is it bottomed out on the wires that were looped up in there. That would be an easy to fix though.

If you could do the 210 test on the S2, it would be interesting for the forum to know if it fits completely in the frame.

What height are you riding from the crank axle to the seat rail?

4k vert...1.5 hours. Used 80% of 850wh battery. Blown away at that part. So fast up hill. Was really impressed with how well it pedaled with the unit completely off too (How I used it descending). I have little to no ebike experience, so can't really compare, but there was zero resistance and it felt completely normal.

Descending: Coming from a V1 dreadnought, it isn't quite as capable in the steep chunder. I think the reduced travel, less rearward axle and steeper hta all add up. I also need to spend some time with the shock, that may help. But it seemed to hang up a little more (albeit, only one ride). Still a beast though, I'm splitting hairs. And it jumps/is more playful than the V1 which is a bonus.

Overall, very stoked.

As requested. Bottom bracket to rails: 27 7/8". About 7/8" higher than bottom out. This is with switchgrade too. I think that adds 10mm or so.

I need to drop the motor one more time, so I'll update on full bottom out of 210 hopefully later tonight. But might be tomorrow.

weight: 49.7 lbs as pictured, minus water bottle.

Fully inserted 210 V2 One Up, plenty of clearance.

Leaving the rear motor mount bolt in and pivoting it out of the way is awesome. Wish I knew that trick yesterday!

I have to thank you so much for this test!

Inserting the 210 oneup v2 completely into the S2 frame is a great result, and above all, the forbidden indications regarding maximum insertion were incorrect.

lets see if someone will try with the one up v3 ( v3 is 7mm longer )

Thank you.

How do you like the switch grade on this bike (and in general )?
Love it on all my bikes. Wouldn't ride a gravity orientated bike (that i pedal) without it. One of the first things I ordered for the bike back in May :) It helps get the seat out of the way in the steeps for descending, while putting it in a comfortable climbing position on the ups. Most of the riding I do is 2k up steep fire roads, then 2k down. I wouldn't use it if I rode a lot of undulating terrain. It's not something you adjust while riding (you can physically, but it's not fluid)

One thing that I forgot to mention in my earlier post, is that the Lite definitely hides it's weight well. I think it's less that total and more the lower CG. The front is noticeably "lighter" than my KSL (granted.. longer front center, different setup, etc). I am not sure how much this would change with the 800wh battery. The playfulness of this bike is super impressive given it's overall capabilities.

Just spoken to my dealers and says he’s getting another delivery next week but doesn’t know what bikes he’s getting yet, I find this hard to believe and beginning to think I’m never going to see the bike

As in Avinox 2026?

If so that's still well into the Spring for that to appear/be available

Just hold out, it's shite but I bet you'll regret it. Especially seeing as how limited they are going to be, you'll be lucky to even see one out and about with the numbers that are actually coming
Yeah the Avinox M2 isn’t too far off

An unpopular opinion, but I'd not ever want a bike with an 800wh battery.
Even equal weight bikes (49lbs), but one having an 800wh battery and one having a 600wh battery, the 800 always feels very noticeably heavier.
It's a pity manufacturers design their 600wh batteries to be the same length as a 800wh. There's more cg lowering to be had by making the 600 the same diameter as an 800, but shorter so that the weight can be carried lower.

Replacing the rear brake was definitely a pain

Doing the same today and agree my levo was much easier i think it had tube in tube routing or something. Anyway looks like when i slammed my dropper post the dropper cable and housing moved inside quite a bit to the point where its no longer running inside the built in battery channel.

Has anyone replaced the wheel set with a rear 6 bolt hub? Just wondering what magnet will work properly? Mine are at the shop charging.
What do you mean? Don't the bikes come with 6 bolt hubs from the factory? The Avinox also doesn't use a magnet, it uses a disc with cutouts that mounts on top of the brake disc.

I just got the bike (Druid CorE) and noticed battery level is very low, so I started charging. Then I noticed the charger making hissing sound with it being very hot.

Is it normal that the charger gets this hot? 61.5C.
Anyone knows the normal operating temperature expected for this charger?
I am using the standard charger (4A) included.

Yes, you are correct. The Forbidden website say they come with a Sram Centerline rotor. But, I picked up my bike tonight and can confirm it's a 6 bolt. Should be an easy swap to my Berd wheels. Thanks

Centreline is not the same as Centrelock. The name of the rotors is a bit confusing.

Yes my charger runs way hotter than my Bosch charger ever did. I am pretty sure I will get a fast charger so we will see how that goes.
