Velduro Rogue 170/165 mullet Enduro with DJI

Have the kinematics of the suspension been published? if it's anything like their analog brethren, that would be a good thing. Though the design is different enough that this may not be the case. The shock is in the front triangle now and the rear is fully unified (not like idler-based Dark Matter), but unlike VPP, you get the full seat tube insertion length. An esoteric choice for sure, aside from the safe Gen 5.
There is a link in this thread that shows some kinematics.

Thanks Tim,

Hi all, this is one of the shots from last week's photoshoot, www.velduro.co.uk will hopefully be up and running this week.
We will be taking orders for frame sets immediately for the fastest deliveries, time scale TBA. Anyone wanting a complete build, short term we can offer a variety of options. [email protected] will be set up this week for any enquiries.

We have worked with the guys in NZ since 2008 and are very excited about working with the team on the Velduro project. During the next few days whist we are finishing the UK site, please use www.velduro.com for any enquiries, the guys in NZ will forward to us.

When will you have demo bikes onsite to view and sit on?
Im 99.9% sure this will be my next bike, but I don't really trust their suggested size chart.

Hi Cozzy,
We should have some size large demos in the UK in the next few weeks but we will keep everyone updated.

If you want to be kept up to date with all the latest developments please email [email protected] and I will add you to our enquiries list

Looking pretty slick!
Is there any word on an Australian distributor yet?
A previous post put the frame in US sent direct from China at $3900usd (before TACO tarrifs) this equates to about $6k aud. Has anyone from Australia contacted Velduro and know if they'll do the same thing and send direct from the manufacturer? I've got an email into them, will report when I find out :)

I love the keenness for a new player in the market. And am always impressed with the first adopters willing to risk a shitty experience for the chance of newness.

I'm also amused Velduro are hitting into production run 2 prior to production run one being shipped out to customers.
It is my experience than you do no explore the full extend of tolerance stacking of parts until the first production run is complete. Then tweaks in tolerance are made inbetween production run one and two. By the time production run 3 hits the floor you are getting a pretty dialed product.

What needs to be tweaked for the next production run? This will only reveal its self after multiple users start hammering the product.

Agreed, but there is a run before these: Run 0, which is what is being tested, profiled, and photographed now. I'm fairly sure that Run 1 has already incorporated changes, and if not then Run 2 most probably has. Note the picture from the UK does not include the bash guard that has been shown, so already there are differences.

Hello friends,

Luka here from VETTA Bike Components – a bicycle distribution company, among other MTB brands also for VELDURO in Italy, Slovenia, and Croatia! We’re glad to hear you like the VELDURO bikes. Our test Rogue should be here in a couple of days!

That's pre production small batches. They will find some issues. But because of low volume the full extent of manufacturing tolerances are not fully explored/revealed.

That starts occurring with the first high volume production run.

Of i was velduro I would wait and review production run 1 before sending r2. Make changes if required prior to running r2.

so why did you then buy a 1st production run crestline?

Hi Luka, good to meet you. Thanks for the offer of advice, we should be in touch. We are getting our samples flown over at the same time. It would be good to compare notes. All the best, David

Has any pre-ordered? They want the deposit wired, seems a bit risky. Thoughts?

We have been in the eBike business since 2005, I was Chair and founder of the British Electric Bicycle Association before it was merged with the BAGB. Although you won't know me, for waht it's worth I have known the guys in NZ for many years and can vouch for them. All the best, David

IMO, this is a top 3 e-bike in the world, and it costs a fraction of what other bikes cost. Simply amazing.

Did this Avinox not rattle in this test, possibly because the mid-pivot reduced pedal feedback so much?

Obviously, it's way past class 1 standards and this took a serious toll on efficiency.

I have tested (and crashed) the Rogue. Hope you guys like the video. It's in german but includes english subtitles.
That was interesting. At 1.84m on the medium i would have expected it to be way too small for you.
Rethinking my decision for a large at 1.78m now 🤔

Curious how you came to that conclusion and what are thr other two in that list?

It ticks a lot of boxes, if they were coming sooner I'd of mahbe considered one over the Forbidden

^this AU price is correct.
I was hoping it was going to be better value, buts it’s wwayyy better than the main players (Sworks Levo at $13k aud etc). The Teewing is $5500 landed in Australia, @ $2300 extra it’s edging towards a more considered purchase instead of a shut up take my money situation.
I shall meditate on it, aka, get on the beers and send a deposit.

I think this bike has ideal geo, the second best motor (well maybe 3rd but the other one is only available in a Spesh), and a very well designed rear suspension that each of the 3 reviews I've read have raved about it. It's also literally < half the cost of the others with shitty builds.

The other top players in my eyes are great but none offer frame only options except the first one, like the Crestline (poor dropper insertion and rattles the dickens, also can't really get), E-Druid (can't get, bit weird geo, expensive), the Regulator (very dialed but a bit boring), Sight VLT (great for the money but every review says the suspension is oddly harsh at the end), all the rest that are good but I find small shortcomings like the Vala/ Bullit/ Wild/ etc.

The one I just bought is the Antidote. No ride reviews, but the brand has a good history and I was able to get all of the features that I personally want in a frame only (i.e. correct geo, correct LR, mid-pivot, Bosch CXR motor with a 600watt battery.

How? I’d also like to meditate on it, website says NZ only for the time being.
