Howdy Amflow support! Loving my Pro model, best decision ever as it relates to bikes! I am a life-long racer and early 50's and.. this brings the fun back! Speaking of which, I did a 30 mile ride yesterday. The Avinox app was unable to download it. I I reinstalled the app (apple device) and the problem persisted. I removed the Avinox BT pairing and re-paired. The ride no longer exists and is now lost. Is there any way to recover it? How can I prevent this in the future? I've always tracked with a garmin device, and was excited to not need that with the Amflow. But.... losing ride data... not good.

Thank you in advance, and thank you for delivering such an awesome bike and a disruptive drive system :)

Regarding the motor rattle: Your experimental feature (I believe it’s called freehub engagement?) actually makes the problem worse.

That got me thinking — would it be possible to eliminate the rattle altogether by keeping the gears permanently engaged above a certain speed threshold while coasting? Instead of pre-engaging 3–4 times per second over rough terrain, just keep them engaged.

Would that be a feasible solution?

Honestly, I don’t see why anyone would want to use this experimental feature in its current state, as it only multiplies the most annoying e-bike rattle ever. It’s useless as it is. If possible, make the engagement permanent — that way you could fix the rattle with a simple software update. I hope you get the idea and can comment on it.

Yes. Trail is a fixed amount of assistance you can customize. Auto changes depending on hills and cadence
The range assistance options of the modes is -
Auto 3 to 11
Trail 6 to 13

The assistance description in the app for both modes is the same - automatically adjusted based on riding situation.

I was hoping Amflow could confirm.

Hi Amflow support - thanks for making yourselves available here. 2 questions - is there a display field available to add to a custom screen layout that displays total distance travelled since last battery charge ? I know there is a field for trip distance but I want one that is the total distance since last battery charge. Alternatively a trip odometer that can be manually reset each time I recharge.

Also a feature request - it would be great to have a display field that shows total Wh consumption since last charge and average Wh/km since charge.

Thank you!

Hi Amflow_Support, one question regarding cassettes supported by the amflow pl. How free am I by choosing different tooth ranges? If for some reasons I want to ride a 10-36 cassette, would the bike have anny issues with this setup? As far as i know one has to choose the model inside the bike app and I assume road cassettes won't be selectable? Or has anyone here tried that?

Hi Amflow support. I'm purchasing a new bike soon. I'm on the fence about the Amflow - I'm close to purchasing one, but I'm very concerned about reports of the motor rattling while not pedalling. If the motor develops a loud persistent rattle, is that covered under warranty, or is it considered normal?

Its not "If", its when. And do you realy think they answer this question? :D

Hello Amflow Support. Do you have a list of recommended SIM cards for use in the US? I have tried a tmobile phone SIM and it would not connect to 4G.

Hi there,
We have completed testing and can confirm that, for the USA region, the KAISNVXS SIM card is compatible with Amflow bikes. Previous customers have reported that 4G connectivity works normally after installing this card.
We hope this information is helpful for you, and please feel free to contact us if you need any further assistance.

Hi there
We’re sorry—our account was recently restricted, so many comments went unanswered. We’re now working through them as quickly as possible.

Regarding your question: yes, a few riders have reported a faint motor noise when they’re not pedalling. Our engineers tell us this is normal: To ensure a smooth rotation experience while riding, a certain amount of play is designed into the assist unit's rotating shaft. This helps reduce friction and wear. Therefore, there might be a slight rattling sound when the crank is wobbled.

Rest assured, every Amflow bike is put through severe real-world riding tests and is completely safe to ride. If you notice anything unusual while you’re out on the trail, just let us know and we’ll walk you through a full check-up and fix.

Hi there ,
Thank you for your question.

Amflow frames are designed around the SRAM XS-1270 Eagle Transmission 10-52T cassette. We have not tested the 10-36T range, so we cannot guarantee stability or full compatibility. For your safety, please check with your local shop mechanic before attempting any cassette swap.

Hope this helps—enjoy the ride!

Hi there,

Thank you for highlighting the idea of a reset of total mileage and a detailed energy-consumption read-out after each full charge.
These features are not currently available; however, we have logged your request with our product team and hope it will be considered for future updates.

We appreciate your feedback and will announce any developments on our official channels.

@Amflow_Support

Is there any difference between 'Auto' and 'Trail' (apart from the assistance level ranges)?

Thanks
Hi there,

One key difference between Trail and Auto riding modes is maximum acceleration:
  • Trail: acceleration ceiling is lower than Turbo and much lower than Boost, giving a smooth, predictable power curve on natural terrain.
  • Auto: an intelligent, adaptive mode that continuously adjusts acceleration (and all other assist parameters) to match real-time gradient, speed, and rider input.
Therefore, Auto must keep the full acceleration range open so the system can call up any level of power when the road condition demands it.
We hope this clarifies the two modes. If you have further questions, please let us know.

OSMO Action 5 DASHBOARD OVERLAY not working

Successfully paired my (firmware updated) Osmo Action 5 with the Amflow, I can wake, start and stop the camera with the control on the remote, but in the Mimo App I cannot add dashboard data, when trying to add the Avinox dashboard, the data isn't present.

What version of the Avinox firmware do I need to be running to support this feature?
Thank you for the detailed description.

Your bike’s control display is paired correctly with the Mimo app, yet no ride data appear inside Mimo.
Please verify that the display firmware has been updated to 00.12.05.07. If it has, the issue is most likely on the Mimo/Osmo Action 5 side.
We recommend contacting DJI Osmo Action 5 technical support first. Should their team determine that the issue lies with the Amflow system, please email us directly at [email protected] and we will escalate the case to our internal engineers for further analysis.

Hi there,

We’re sorry to hear about the missing ride data.
Could you please confirm which application is installed on your phone:
  1. Avinox Ride app(green icon), or
  2. Avinox app(blue icon)?
Under normal circumstances, all ride data are tied to your account; they will not disappear simply because the Bluetooth pairing is removed.
If you need an urgent resolution, please contact our technical team directly at [email protected] and they will investigate immediately.
Thank you for your cooperation, and we look forward to your update.

I am really curious about this since i intend to use one peculiar centerlock rear hub together with this ring. Can you please point me to a picture of this adapter?
Thank you for your enquiry.

As we have never tested the combination you describe, we cannot predict whether a Centre-Lock-to-6-bolt adapter would allow the wheel-speed sensor grille to function correctly. Our rear frame uses a 148 × 12 mm thru-axle; the relevant dropout spacing is governed by the axle dimensions, but we have no data on third-party adapters.
For any custom build, we recommend consulting an authorised Amflow dealer whose technicians can assess the hub, adapter, and sensor clearance in person.

Thank you for your understanding and support

Hey guys, can you share any rumors if an extension battery back is planned? Another 200-250wh would really help!
thanks!

Amflow_Support Do you have any plans to close the vpn New Zealand loophole to derestict the bikes?
