Thanks. Phew. Yours look quite a lot more around than mine. If mine had looked like yours i also wouldn't have worried.
Must have been on the bike used for the frame protection kit too, it has a circle on the stickers to go around the hole!

That hole is probably a vent hole needed in manufacturing to get rid of air bubbles. Have the same on my YT and I asked them about it.

I think it also has to do with the amount of leverage and shock stroke. 150mm on a 55mm stroke makes i hard to get the rear feelings anything other than crap in either start or end of the stroke. I paired my amflow with a sd with HBO because of this. I don't think the bike is a good candidate for coil or dh shocks like vivid or x2. Stem needs to be swapped. I don't think carbon wheels is desired or needed on the bike.I bought the base Amflow very quickly after YT went bust and read, I believe, all existing reviews in German and English, which don't paint a super good picture regarding the enduro capability of the bike.
I changed to a Lyrik Ultimate and Schwalbe radials with Newmen alu wheels. After 2 solid rides, it is at least as capable as the Fuel Exe (coil), which is touted to punch above its weight class. And this is with the puny Fox performance shock. I wonder if the combination of the carbon wheels, handlebars and the heavy compression of the Fox factory stuff skewed the reviews a little. This is what mbr thinks
Were these components you already had, otherwise that was an experience upgradeHad my first couple of rides now, changed the forks tyres, rear wheel, longer dropper and stem. Was thinking of changing the brakes but MT5 are fine so far.

I understand. It's not for everyone.I'm a bit tentaive about upgrading the shock, with a fork you know what you are going to get from riding other bikes but not so much with the shock, base shock on the pl has little adjustment
so you'd recommend something like this?I understand. It's not for everyone.
For me it has made a noticeable positive impact. It also helps that I got the shock for 50 eur, so no huge loss if it didn't work perfectly.
yes i just put one of these on. It's better than riding with the original for me. You can get it tuned if you want. I didn't see a big need for it.so you'd recommend something like this?

might be worth a punt as some of these cheap shocks are the cost of getting the original sent off and serviced properly
water bag on back with tools and tpu tubewater bottle is everyone running on Pro model?
How are you finding the Lyrik? I have one "spare" at the moment and deciding if it's worth putting it on or just upgrading to Zeb etc. If it's not too cheeky a question, what do you weigh?I think it also has to do with the amount of leverage and shock stroke. 150mm on a 55mm stroke makes i hard to get the rear feelings anything other than crap in either start or end of the stroke. Amflow won't sell you a frame until you return yours to them, those are the terms of their warranty.I spoke to Amflow USA directly yesterday and they said a crash replacement frame would cost is $6,200 for out of warranty. In-warranty crash replacement gets a 30% discount costing $4,340. To me this price is unacceptable, especially for a bike with somewhat dated geometry and so much flex in the first place.
LOL the frame has a slight amount not "so much" and only if used for something it was not designed for. It is not an enduro, it is a trail bike.so much flex
LOL really? It has current geometry, not dated. It is set up to do a wide range of riding and to fit a wide range of trails.dated geometry
That's the issue - there aren't any alternatives besides buying a heavily marked up bespoke frame that costs as much as a new bike in the event of a crash (whether in warranty or out of warranty/grey market).Amflow won't sell you a frame until you return yours to them, those are the terms of their warranty.
Fair enough - I've watched plenty of reviews and having not ridden the bike all I can do is parrot some comments made about the frame flex. (perhaps unfairly)LOL the frame has a slight amount not "so much" and only if used for something it was not designed for. It is not an enduro, it is a trail bike.
You are not fast enough to flex the frame and notice
LOL really? It has current geometry, not dated. It is set up to do a wide range of riding and to fit a wide range of trails.
that is a common misconception. And it is straight up BS, it's nothing special design-wise and really just to showcase the motor.
You got nothing to say then.having not ridden the bike
You're completely missing the main issue - their crash replacement program is dogshit and you're royally screwed if you crack the frame while riding. You got nothing to say then.
I'm really wondering how the after sales warranty and parts availability will be. It seems like it's near impossible to get reasonably priced replacement parts.

On top of that, most of the outfits selling this at a discount (Ronhack, Loomenade, etc.) are non-authorized sellers selling grey market amflows so I would not count on getting timely warranty coverage, if any at all, ordering through them.
I still may get one since it's really the only ebike that interests me but it definitely makes the choice much harder as a heavier rider. I wish reviewers were more upfront about these issues.
Try a specialized Levo gen 4 frame, and then crytheir crash replacement program
Me either, but ive seen first hand buddies who have broke popular companies frames, and not one got a free frame.I’ll say up front, I’ve never broken a frame so never needed a crash replacement warranty
I can’t tell if you’re being serious or just trying to argue for arguments sake. My whole post is about the exorbitant price of a replacement frame. That’s it.How could you even know that, you do not know that. You dont own one. You never even rode one.
And you just have been trash talking the whole time, and doing a pretty piss poor job at trolling this bike.
Have you priced a frame at Specialized gen 4 Sworks replacement frameMy whole post is about the exorbitant price of a replacement frame
I guess nobody should care about a crash replacement program
Many companies do not offer that much if you crash your bike.crash replacement gets a 30% discount
I would have to contact their support to find out what their cost is for frame replacement. I’m not really interested in any other e-bikes besides the Amflow at the moment though.Have you priced a frame at Specialized gen 4 Sworks replacement frame
The pricing for crash replacement frame only. Amflow said they would be contacting me via email in 1-3 days with more detail on replacement cost for 1) frame only, 2) motor, 3) battery - both in warranty and out of warranty (retail). What is bad about Amflows CR?, they give you a discount similar to every other big company.
I’m interested in this. What was Amflow’s resolution in this case? They just took care of a guy who is very happy after he crashed his bike and damaged his frame.
