600 Wh battery and a bosch motor : such a mess.
Despite the 'bike' part being near perfect, the post "enginering marketing" waste of 'E' of 'E-bike' wreck all the interest.
Same weapon with a dji (or whatever) and a slim 800 Wh ... wagabadoowah !

Dream bike ... wasted ... again ... oh god ...

Now, i'll cross fingers, and pray so Atherton won't seppuku too with a bosch + 600 Wh trash 'E' ...

This but lighter in carbon with the DJI 800wh battery.

Is it just me or do other folks also feel like the newest gen of e-bikes we’re seeing released have access to all the right ingredients but can’t seem to figure out the right recipe? All slightly miss the mark with either geo or weight or range.

I think the next gen after this will have it sorted… under 50lbs, 170+, full size motor/battery.

Is there any point having turbo mode with entb+ witt the new 100nm update? What extra does turbo bring?

When the update 8 released id like one mode with 100nm, one with 85nm, then 70nm and 60nm.

But it turns out the EMTB+ doesn’t just fill in the gap between EMTB and Turbo. I preferred it over Turbo in several situations. The “extended boost” (overrun) is much more versatile in EMTB+ mode compared to Turbo. You can control the overrun with your feet, a long and hard stab at the pedals will give you a nice boost over an obstacle as your forced to level the pedals.
Still, EMTB+ is noticeably kinder when the activating. The motor will engage and not start kicking hard until you’ve had a chance to find your balance and start working the pedals. Then the motor proceeds to ramp up quickly and you’ve got lots of power on tap to pick up speed or hit a steep climb.

Crestline pretty much fits your brief. Except with bosch.
$10k usd 180/180mm with 400/600/800 battery options, carbon frame
1kg lighter than the Nicolai with the same battery.

or $11k euro alloy, heavier, only 600 battery option.....

Its a no brainer.... The Crestline wins hands down. Unless you hade carbon or really, really want to play with chain stay lengths.... Or want to make it a Voima/sonni replacement and go full rig mania with 190 rear/200 front

You can do that already in the flow app though?

My Eco is 65nm and Tour+ is 75nm the rest 85
I know. I'm currently.

Turbo 85nm, setting all full up
Emtb 85nm. factory setting
Tour+ 70nm, Dial back -1 on settings
Eco+ 60nm Dial back -1 on settings.

The big question is what 4 settings do i choose when 100nm is released to the rest of the public.

I'm thinking all run turbo in 100nm and keep emtb at 85.
or ditch turbo and run emtb+ 100nm

Bit of trial and error I reckon.. I'd be interested to see where you end up.

Crestline is sold out for 2025 so you’re not getting one unless you can find one left at a random shop somewhere. The Nicolai would be a decent option if you’re looking for a long travel bike and you can get it as a frame only, that’s always a plus.

Non removable 600 is a deal breaker. I’d love to see an updated factory de-restrictable, (like the new Levo) Pinion MGU and belt drive with a nice LCD screen control unit, (like the DJI) in raw finish on this one And I’d buy it immediately. Also, that Pepto Bismol pink is horrible.

Is Artherton in the making of and enduro ebike?

I totally agree with you. As the motors start putting out more and more watts the 600w battery will not last much longer than a 450w right now. The mfgs are still in the muscle bike low weight is king mentality. I would be happy with 52 pounds with an 800W battery which works with an extender. I like the short turbo rides, but even better is a long high altitude exploration ride in Colorado.

Perfection! With the slimmer downtube and 600w battery , the long stroke option, and being dh fork compatible this is screaming to be 190r/200f triple clamp. 100nm/750w should drag that around like a trail/enduro emtb

I am also considering if this could be in stead of a DH bike. So I can self shuttle locally and still take it to the shuttled dh bike parks. 190mm rear, 200mm front and you can toy around with the chainstay length depending if you wanna set it up for racing or for freeride?

Anyone been able to find the frame only price? It says it’s available as a frame only but I’ve looked all over the webpage and can’t find it anywhere.

Looking at their site, they mention it but there’s no link, so I’d assume you need to contact them for details like their custom builds.

@Rob Rides EMTB Nicolai told me that a 200mm travel Boxxer "will not fit", with the max fork length being 602mm. Did you hear differently?

99% sure when I spoke with them they told me would be fine.

What’s the length of Boxxer 200mm?

Edit: from Pinkbike: Our 200mm travel Boxxer has a 602mm axle to crown.

Need to work out if a 40 will fit - @cozzy I think you are the forum expert on these on bikes with longer heatubes. The S18 has 150mm headtube (plus stack from headset), reckon a 40 will work?

140mm absolute max when i was working out if one would fit the voima last year.
The older c3 boxxer would fit, not sure about the latest one.

Kenevo with 125mm head tube and 15mm spacers. Set at 140mm top of lower crown to top of stanchion rather than the 137.5mm fox recommend.
