I’m sure your neighbor would be happy to sign for a large box that says CRESTLINE on the side. 🤣

New Crestline DJI frame just arrived! Looks amazing in person! Hoping to have it built up early in the week. So stoked!

I love seeing it in person! Looks MUCH better than the photos on the website. I was given the option for the Vivid Coil but had to purchase a spring for my riding weight. Came with a 450lb spring but I require a 350lb spring which Troydon didn't have in hand. Not a big deal at all. I wish I would have installed coils on all of my Crestline bikes.

It will make many of your Avinox Ride stats inaccurate. It will also make the gear indicator wrong, as it uses the chainring to wheel speed ratio, to calculate which gear you are in.

There is currently a better way, if that is something you want.
What is the better way?

Cannot talk about in this thread. Click on linked post.

Finally a solid ONE PIECE chainstay protector on a Crestline. And sounds like a much better motor bash guard compared to the brittle one for the Bosch Gen4.
How does the charger port flap seem? Will it keep splashing water out? Does it seem like it’ll last?
And oh man it’s going to look sooo good with ALL black components…..no bling for me! Battleship gray and black for me 😍

I actually had a hard time removing the flap the 1st time. It is magnetized so very solid when closed.

More photos! Good news is that the rubber chainstay protector is finally solid! They have peeled off on my last 4 Crestlines. I don't care for the DJI speed sensor cable but do prefer it to the Bosch valve stem sensor. Super easy to pair it to the DJI app.

Looks like Troyden built in bash ring protection, which makes the Crestline the best implementation of the DJI motor to date.

I want one and was bummed to read that Troyden is not planning on another run until 1st quarter 2026. I suspect that is to coincide with the next version of the DJI motor.

Perhaps minor improvements but I have doubts. I suspect lack of supply for all the frame manufacturers that was announced recently. Commencal won't release their avinox ebike til next spring which coincides with Q1.

F*ck yes, as if we should be so lucky to get an MGU from the likes of DJI. It would mostly likely be light, compact, stepless hybrid transmission (E-CVT) that would redefine this sector just like it did with it's first motor. Gearbox/belt drive suspension performance is undeniable. Just ask AlumiPro who let his older Crestline collect dust so he could ride his analog belt-drive Anakin Effigear bike.

The issue with MGU’s of the past is the drag and extra resistance especially on an 55lb Ebike trying to pedal past the assist limiter.
If this gets resolved along with weight and shift smoothness then we’re talking!!!

Been dreaming of loosing the derailleur for decades, but I’d settle with the next edition running a Maxon Air S motor.

Sub 45lb e-bikes simply ride better.

I’m not going to lie, my Effigear has a bit more drag than a CLEAN/NEW SRAM transmission. And it only have 9 gears at about 470% range. With this being said though I’m still riding the same trails I rode with the 12 speed transmission. High pivot/high output shaft, zero belt growth/no tensioner, gear box is freak’n sweet!!…..yes my Bosch Gen4 Crestline had been put aside in favor of my Anakin V2.
I have high expectations for the RS181, I think it’ll deliver the best it can for what it is. After watching Amflow videos with the motor power output update, I’m thinking I may need to up my health coverage and life insurance policy. I’m really looking forward to some nasty hill climbs, one particularly that after many attempts I could not get to the top of with the Bosch Race. I would stall or break traction at the very top. I’m headed right to this climb once my RS181 is built!
