Crestline x DJI - RS 181 SPECTRE Edition

My trails are very unforgiving and rocky, but Ridewrap isn't worth the time or the money imo.

It doesn't stop anything that matters and looks like crap.

I haven't bothered for the last 5 bikes and they are no worse for the wear.

I take my time installing it being sure there are no bubbles and the gaps between pieces are 1/4”.
If you can see it on my bikes, you are way, WAY to close to my bike and need to step back!

Well, it's more fun to install when drinking. I also like to capture a mosquito or two underneath the film, really captures the essence of my personality.

I've installed the kits perfectly with just a frame, soapy water, squeegy and heat gun. In 18 months it turns slightly yellow and has a layer of dust caught all around the edges of each piece.

I'd rather have the scratches quite frankly, not to mention the $100 and the evening back.

I'm certain they are, but FF is able to take it further beyond SRAM OE tunes for what I specified. For my current frame they added dampening and faster rebound. Every kinematics is different, I don't know what it would look like for a VPP. I certianly no expert.

Do you only have the 3.1 piston installed or also custom tune? What they did to my Zeb was transformative and that was before they had a piston available.

Ah gotcha. I have a custom tune with the their 3.1 piston. Im on the lighter side so I always need a custom tune.

How heavy are you? Wondering if I need a custom tune at 150lbs. I usually like to add 3-5 clicks of HSC on 38’s and Zebs and Mabe 6-8 clicks of LSC and rebound seems OK.
Ebike adds 50-55lbs so total weight with gear and water is closer to 210-215lbs

Similar in weight. I was referencing a custom tune for pedal bikes, not ebikes. I have a push 9.1 so there's plenty of adjustments.
 
Stopped at a pub near where my car was parked and I grabbed the power bank, got about 38% in just over 40 minutes.

I still have a bit of a wait then.
I sold my current Crestline frame the other day and have a pile of parts waiting for the RS181 frame!

Yah, your input along with all the other info I've gathered on the thing, well I've pretty much settled on the Sprectre being my next bike. Just waiting for the order banks to open on the next batch.

I'm only 5'11" but would stick with the RH3 as I like big bikes. What size CS's would you recommend if you greatly value front wheel traction but still want to manual? 455mms I'm thinking.

Yes 455mm should work well. Great thing is that down the line you can change it out if you like.
