An absolutely corkin ride today from The Dales Bike Centre , Grinton , Yorkshire Dales..put together by Dave Brown ..
Just Wayne & myself joining him today as bike surgery & injury taking care of others who would normally have joined us on a route which included some well known tracks ..some of which were ridden in the opposite direction to the way Dave would normally ride them ..and also tracks which hadn't been visited by him for a good few years ..plus some new stuff which all worked out fantastically well...
I'd even go as far as to say that it was as good as anything I've ridden in the last few years including our Scottish trips ..
Pics ..

Routemeister extraordinaire..Dave relaxing with an Americano back at the centre where how we resisted the fantastic selection of cakes is a mystery to me ..possibly due to the fact we'd also just had a pint at The Bridge Inn just along the road 😀 ( thanks Dave ) .

Many thanks to you both for a fab day out !

Which data do you prefer 🤔
Wayne tried a bit of a test on yesterday's ride running two apps alongside each other on his phone ..O.S.maps & Strava ..while at the same time I was also using O.S.maps through the Outdooractive app..with quite differing results .
All were within a similar distance of around 21miles but the ascent figures were nowhere near each other ..
Wayne's O.S. figure : 3662ft
Strava : 3242ft
While mine showed: 2989ft
I don't remember having a snooze while the boys did an extra lap ..so which one is accurate 🤔
Well I've asked both of my legs and they are in complete agreement this morning that it was Wayne's O.S. figure 😉😁

I had a lump removed from my left arm last week. One week later (yesterday), I had the dressing removed, wound inspected, re-dressed etc. I was expecting something with neat straight lines, about 4-5" long, the product of a skilled plastic surgeon (what a nice woman!).

This is what I actually got!

Everyone was terribly pleased about how it all went. God knows what it would have looked like if it had gone wrong!
Oh, and that pale area in the centre is completely devoid of feeling. I'm told it should recover in time. Well, that's all right then.

Seen Xmas Turkeys sewn up better than that . Get well soon it's hard to keep a good man down.

Ok walked the hills down there only thing I remember cycling anywhere near there was 3 lochs nearer Aberfeldy I'm thinking long time ago.
I headed out of Killin past the Lochay hydro power station, along the valley to Kenknock then turn right up a old road to Lubreoch dam, on passed that one to Stronuich dam then on to Bridge of Balgie, turned right over bridge and follow that road for about ten miles passing Lawers dam then back onto main road A827 to Killin. 👍

Hang on ..that's ridiculous ..I'd be seeking legal advice for compensation ..the surgeon had obviously been on the piss the night before ..

Gotcha looks a good ride. Loch Lyon be worth a look from Tyndrum area . Few tracks branch off from Kenknock as well. Club I walk with stay at Ochils hut in Crianlarich I quite often just take a bike and cycle instead of hill walking. Not done any Ebiking down there though.

Looks like the surgical team followed a vein or muscle down your arm, which they would have done with good reason.

Autsch! Well, once it healed you could talk to a tattoo artist making it a map or scenery of riding your most favorite single trail? 😎

In any case all the best and quick recovery!

Hey! That’s a good idea 👍🏻. He could be become a “Bad-Ass”(term of endearment)…if he isn’t already 😉.

Blimey Steve, I hope you're right handed, that looks painful.
Hope you get a clean bill of health soon.

Don't hold your breath waiting for that! They told me the same when my chin went numb following teeth implant surgery, 9 months later and it still feels like the local anesthetic hasn't worn off.:(

To be fair...I had a big chunk of my face removed in December and it didn't look too nice at the time, but now that it's had a few months of healing and skin regrowth, it's hard to even see a scar.

The healing is the worst part.
