Yes nothing too scary either.By far the best trail centre I’ve ridden. I’m determined to visit again and spend the day there……
It's one of the best trail centres ..but purely down to the fact that after a couple of days riding prior to visiting and my thighs feeling as supple as two planks of wood ..it wouldn't be at the top of my list ..but would like to visit again ( sometime ) when my legs were "fresh"..By far the best trail centre I’ve ridden. It's a tyring day for the older gentleman. 23 miles not a lot in my mind but 35 if I had the battery power would be too much I think. Where as a 40 miles cross country is aesthetically ? more satisfying , changing scenery etc. It's one of the best trail centres ..but purely down to the fact that after a couple of days riding prior to visiting and my thighs feeling as supple as two planks of wood ..it wouldn't be at the top of my list ..but would like to visit again ( sometime ) when my legs were "fresh"..
Really?By far the best trail centre I’ve ridden. I’m determined to visit again and spend the day there……
Really?
I'd say there are plenty better options in Scotland but I guess it depends what sort of stuff you like to ride.
It's too groomed/built for my liking. Hopefully the new hand dug trail will start opening up more trails like it afterwards, it badly needs it.
I find I don't have the need for speed especially on my own . Last time I was with two young 50 year old so had to keep up.What I love about Tarland is that it encourages you ride the berms a little faster, to ride them higher and because they are well built and on the large side it’s easy to spot your exit and ride them in one steering movement enabling you to push into the turns with confidence the tyres will hook up……IMO![]()
Definitely a age thing then I'm 69 . I was saying to the young lads last time driving to Tarland I need to reign in a bit . After a good day one said on way home to just get that rubbish right out of my head .At 68 I feel the need…….the need for speed!!![]()
Never been but it's not that far so I will have to check it out. I'm hoping for a day at Torridon next week if I can persuade Drummond to go.In the same breath I also throughly enjoyed the small but beautifully formed Comrie Croft. The very different technical natural rocks and roots on the Reds were great fun.

This is the only 99 I like.I was out exploring around on a ride on my work trip and found this awesome bike park. Place was empty likely due to it being 99 degrees out. Super fun place though.

That temperature is ridiculous. I’ve only experienced 110* in southern Ontario once when I was 13ish. That was brutal.I was out exploring around on a ride on my work trip and found this awesome bike park. Place was empty likely due to it being 99 degrees out. Super fun place though.

75 is just fine for us Jocks. Worst I remember was a couple of jobs one in Quatar the other India 125 ish , not cycling though. Drinking so much water you end up with a sore throat. That temperature is ridiculous. I’ve only experienced 110* in southern Ontario once when I was 13ish. That was brutal.
Riding is closed when the temperatures reach too high because of fire risk in our area. Thankfully the forest drops the temperature down a few degrees …but still …I have a limit.![]()

I hate the hot weather but living in SoCal if I don’t ride during the heat then I miss out on about 5 months of riding. No fun for sure. That temperature is ridiculous. I’ve only experienced 110* in southern Ontario once when I was 13ish. That was brutal.

Now this seems just crazy
1st stop on my Alps tour. I first tried Willingen Germany, but it was too cold and rainy. Drove down to Nauders, Austria. Always a pleasure to ride here.
