What did you buy your ebike this week?

Full service and refitted wife's Pike Ultimate 160 and my Lyrik Ultimate 160.

Also replaced Maxxgrip High Roller 3's, which after winter were looking ugly, with Assegai DD Maxxgrip fronts and DHR2 DD Maxgrip rears. Need grip on South Downs chalk with embedded flint but it does make a mess of tyres.

I added a Bosch Purion 400 display to my sons Trek Rail.

A nice small display which adds 10 pages of riding information and data to view : The compact display for your eMTB - Purion 400

Really neat - any reason why you went for the separate display rather than swapping the LED controller for a Purion 200? I miss my Kiox display and was thinking about replacing the controller - I have assumed that LED Remote can be swapped for a 200.

A Purion 200 requires dealer re-coding to pair with the motor.
I also prefer the lower profile of the screen near the headset.

Just ordered a new Rockshox Reverb AXS B2 - 30.9 x 200mm.

Been using the original AXS Reverb for over 5 years now.
It's been replaced once under warranty, and the current one has been running for almost 4 years without a service 😳.
Still works perfectly, and I've never had to use the magic red tool on it! The new one is apparently much easier to service, so will set up a schedule / log on my whiteboard to make sure I do it!!

Anyway - the new B2 version looks fugly, but after checking the config tool, I can get 200mm drop - which is a good upgrade from the 170mm maximum of the original.

Had it in my basket at Tredz yesterday whilst I measured the parameters for the config tool. When I came in to work this morning, there was a "spend £250 and get £25 off" code on my screen - so got it for £510 (plus 3% cashback from Quidco!).

Hopefully it's here for the weekend!

Wow 500 I thought it was a rear shock at that price. I'm not up to date with parts.

It's a dropper post! The new B1 is actually cheaper than the original was.
Compared to the Fox Transfer Neo (similar wireless dropper), the Reverb is an absolute bargain! (RRP £1129)

I know folk who pay that or less for a car. Nice to be able to afford it .

Bike decided to be very expensive over the weekend:
- Purple Hayes Dominions to replace the dreadful TRP DHR Evos after they refused to work in the wet
- Hayes rotors
- T-Type XO cassette as the original has ~3k miles on and is a bit worn
- XO TT chain to go with the cassette
- Deathgrips as my current ones are dead
- Transmission derailleur also decided to die (again 🤬) on Saturday, luckily it’s still under warranty and I carry a spare in the car so that got swapped out and I could continue riding, but fgs!

Just over a £1k bill 🙄

Bought some new wheels for Mrs bike because replaced mine when my rear shat itself (cracked rim next to spokes) for a second time after 4,000 miles and figured that hers at 2,000 miles might go sometime over the summer. Can't complain because they're light and not really eMTB tough. But TBH our riding conditions are pretty tough on wheels. Especially as we're both ex-supermoto riders who as long as the front is straight don't brake so the back can be all over the place taking a beating. Hate stuff that breaks.

Rebuilt my Santa cruz reserve front wheel. Warranty replacement rim due to breakage when i crashed a month ago. Also needed new spokes as of course the erd has changed between the original v2 and the new HD. 🙄

As im feeling sorry for myself I purchased an ext e-storia for my full power bike, freeing up the ohlins for the sl, plus a nice new spring for £73 from airdrop outlet to replace the float x.

Also some 160mm praxis cranks for £82 from bikeparts, not yet fitted.

I don't really like spending money on the ksl as it's only really used occasionally for uplifts, but I could justify it to myself as i won't be driving anywhere for a few months, so the fuel saving pays for these parts. Man maths!

Just another 2 months and i may be fit enough to ride again. 😬
