Seen this on one of the other forums - Bosch powered version of the Sentinel? Hopefully a longer travel option coming too.

Interesting to see both SX and CX in the names - would make sense for them to consolidate their motor providers - currently they have Shimano, Fazua and SRAM

Interested to see where they go with this, I'm a long time transition fan but also not a fan of full 29.

I almost bought a relay but the fazua motor put me off, shame as generally the sizing of frames is spot on for me!

Announcement tomorrow according to their Instagram, hopefully we find out more!

Edit; The song name on the video was regulate, so yeh I think we will find out !

Edit 2; looks like a 160mm 29 front from the suspension setup guide.

150mm rear travel from decal file

Also nothing about cx, just sx motor so far

Colours madrone gold & stormshdow grey.

Awesome, glad to see them switch to Bosch really like Transition bikes.

There’s supposed to be 2 new bikes coming, one with the SX motor and a new full fat with the CX motor. I don’t know if they’re releasing both at the same time or one then the other.

I only really have interest In a cx. Perhaps they've shifted all the fazua stock so will release the sx first

Does the regulator replace the relay in specs etc or is it a trail bike? I haven't looked..

Any new bike with a Bosch SX is of interest to me. I'm test riding one next weekend hopefully

Currently it looks like 160/150 mullet, but with transition they have a habit of allowing travel to be up by changing shock strokes.

Unsure if it's meant to replace the relay or not, I guess we'll find out tomorrow 😂

SX 160/150 mullet seems like the sweet spot. SX is much better to ride than the Fazua, feels like a generation newer.

18.7kg for the Regulator SX, that’s going to be a lot of fun.

I still think the Relay is a nicer bike but I would say that as I've got one.

Great bike, let down by the motor.

My thoughts exactly, for me it would be a toss up between which one has the best spec on the lowest model as I love to just buy new bikes then fit my existing parts 😂

Exactly, I like that the Regulator has TRP brakes and a DT Swiss wheel set other than that I like my Vala GX AXS build more and it was $1k less than the Regulator. Both great bikes and will come down to which you can get a better deal on or brand loyalty.

Also found this interesting on some Regulator reviews they mention
  • 170mm fork compatible – up to 160mm rear travel with a 65mm stroke shock
I've seen some people do this to the Vala although I'm not sure if SC recommends it.

I do worry about when the warranty is up but the one I issue I had was fixed in 2 days.

I was more referring to the ride. Demo’d one back to back with Specilized SL and Bosch SX and the fazua had loads more drag. The Specilized in particular was fine to pedal with the motor off, but with fazua you could feel the drag. It also didn’t feel any more powerful than the worse-on-paper Specilized. Bosch was much better than both.

Mine has been a joy as well. Really no issues but I'm sure the resale is terrible.

PS. Most e-bike motors can be rebuilt for about $250, so not really a big deal.

Im VERY interested to know where this leaves the relay...

So the Regulator is mullet 160/150 vs the relay (I'll use the full 29er as it compares closer) is 29/29 and 160/160 and the regulator is around 1kg (1-2 pounds) lighter. The regulator has a more powerful motor and presuming very similar range 400wh Bosch vs 430wh Fazua.

Obviously its not a replacement for the relay, otherwise they would have just SX'd the relay, but nobody will be buying a relay with this out now, so where does it stand? Does the relay get updated for 2025/26?

I believe they dump the Relay. To many issues with Fazua. When I was at Bellingham last summer, Transition had a two month back log on Relays that were waiting for motors. In fact alot of the demo Relays were broken too.

Writings on the wall for the Heckler SL, Pivot SL and the new Decoy SN then.
