Levo Gen 4 Levo Gen 4 Rumours and some facts...

I like small boutique brands just as much as the next guy but with only 150 units I'd be worried about parts availability when shit breaks or if there a common failure point with the frames. Also the motor bulge on the Crestline is worse than the Levo and the down tube looks massive. I hope the new Levo looks more like the SL, no motor bulge or ugly shock stay. Santa Cruz knocked it out of the park with Vala, it's easily the best looking EMTB out right now.

I might be biased but I really like the look of the SL over the Vala. In person the downtube and crank area look pretty bulky but not bad.

To be or not to be?

I do think the downtube on G3 Levo looks quite slender compared to a lot other bands especially the brands using the bosch battery.

Nah that kink in the seat tube is just ewwww, Vala best looking full power emtb is what I should have said....

So 57 pages in what are your thoughts on what the Gen 4 will be?

I feel this is pretty much guaranteed:

SL style frame
Genie shock
Fox fork
Slightly more power
Slightly lighter
More computer tech
Raven Brakes
Sram transmission

Possible:

Removable battery
Swappable battery sizes
More geo adjustability
Full 29"
Stumpy 15 geo
Better looking motor area

What do you all think?

'26 included now as well!

Who writes years with just one digit?? I think he meant to add future generations Gen5, Gen6 to make us all more confused

500 Miles on the Amflow now, I agree the current S Works Levo is a better bike on the down hill bits and its more agile. The DJI Motor though is from another place TQ and power wise, very smooth power across the range.

I am thinking of getting this bike but worried I can’t get range of my Bosch mondraker 750. My mondraker can do 35 to 40 miles in turbo. Can amflow do same range. Most of mileages I have seen on Facebook show people doing not much mileage above 20 miles. I have my Bosch on max power 85 nm and get huge Mileages.

Range on an emtb is not very useful info if you don't also add elevation gain ... My Levo has several hundred kms of range if elev. gain is close to 0 ...

At the end of the day if you want to do a longer ride on the Amflow you need to use a lower mode just like every other bike. The EMTB mode on Bosch is still far and away the best for just set it and forget it. From reports I've seen if you have range anxiety the Amflow may not be for you, have also read with the motor off there is a ton of drag pedaling. The Amflow won't really be that special once the new Levo is out and Bosch comes out with their new screen and software.

Yes. But I am using turbo on my Bosch and emtb getting nearly 40 miles. Is efficiency of motor in amflow as good as Bosch

I think you'd be better to ask in the amflow section rather than posting about a Bosch v DJI question in the specialized levo thread of the forum 🤷‍♂️

This is the bla bla bla thread ... so .........

Maybe the question is, will the gen4 give the same or more than a Bosch ? Or an Amflow ridden similarly .. ??

Who knows... ultimately, they must be similar, bosch EMTB still gives me the best as an average with peaks as I need them. There won't be any magic. We're all experienced enough by now to know there aren't any miracles.

I think for @David1960 , with average power of 82w ?!?!?!?!? if that's accurate then it pretty much won't make any difference what bike you're riding. You're not using the EMTB as an EMTB ? Maybe that's one for another thread.

EDIT : just noticed you have another thread :-)

What should average power be on emtb then if using correctly. Not really sure what you mean when you say I am not using emtb as emtb. Really appreciate your replies. Thanks

My Amflow did 41miles, 1700ft elevation. My average power at 96w, in Eco/Auto and returned with 25% battery on Sunday.
This is comparable to a Levo G3 that was on the same ride. Both riders weigh about 100kg.

Though I should add, I’ve also done flat out rides using all the POWERS and only just managed 22miles.

It’s also worth noting that Eco is only a little less powerful than Boost on my old Shimano E8000 that was in my Heckler.

Thanks that’s very useful. I weigh 55 kilos- so that helps with mileage !!

Be patient G4 will shock the industry.
When you systems like Bosch and Dji and bikes like Orbea Wild, nothing cant really "shock" the industry .
The new Levo will be up there and in some ways lead the market but there is no magic tech in there (as far as I understand).

Amflow did shock the industry so why not?
