No I wasn't drinking. Sore heart with that bike though. Everything I did was a ballache won't go in to detail. All go an hour ago but going for 20 seconds and fault. Turns out I have broken the piddly speed sensor plug . Definitely gets harder doing fiddly stuff as I get older.Sore head this morning ?

My wife not keen offroad but enjoys a road trip on quiet local back roads . QUOTE , I dinna like the dirdin in ma shoodersYesterday rode 20 miles with Mrs in Venus Woods, Bepton Woods etc. in the South Downs. Hasn't rained for a quite a while so surprisingly free of mud. And an amazing thing happened ... the sun came out!!!

No pics, but also did a bit of XC which was abandoned because of all the fallen trees, so stayed on the easy stuff.

That's not nice, ferk!a frozen freehub causing problems.
What on earth happened to your Kiox? Did you set fire to it??It was a tad chilly on Sunday
Our 25m ride abandoned half way round due to a stick in a derailleur and a frozen freehub causing problems.
Thankfully I had plenty of life left in the battery at the end

Thanks for taking off the protective film. I was about to write a strongly worded letter. It's amazing what a bit of recycled Tetley's can do
This is just for you ladies with Kiox OCD worries

I'm ashamed to say that we have screen protectors on our (non-smart) Kiox displays. Can't be having protective film on things. This isn't GCN.
I can feel a temporary membership ban coming onI'm ashamed to say that we have screen protectors on our (non-smart) Kiox displays.![]()
Was that done more often in the past or how do you explain that it could freeze? My mate ended up peeing on it and it semi worked enough to get to lower ground and out of the wind
It froze because we were stood around for ages in freezing wind while one of the other riders was trying to mend his derailleur. Was that done more often in the past or how do you explain that it could freeze?![]()
Well, usually there is oil and grease around but no water. I never heard that mechanics on a bike got frozen. It froze because we were stood around for ages in freezing wind while one of the other riders was trying to mend his derailleur.
It was amusing watching him pedaling like hell without any forward movement![]()
The size of that rock …a little big for proper torque spec…but the left-handed thread tightening is perfectAnd this fellow biker's is the correct way to tighten the Bosch chainring.
No fancy socket or torque wrench.
Just a bloody big rock

I'm not sure if it was a 5mm or 6mm alan key he was bashing to knock the locking nut round, but I'm glad I wasn't holding itThe size of that rock …a little big for proper torque spec…but the left-handed thread tightening is perfect![]()
Squamish is on our list. Watched a video on that long blue trail that would be perfect for the wife and I.The good weather continues on the typically Wet Coast of Canada. Dog was in his element.
Temps have been below freezing at night and 3-4C during the day. Traction is superb.

So so many trails here. Better than Whistler in some respects. Certainly a longer riding season.Squamish is on our list. Watched a video on that long blue trail that would be perfect for the wife and I.
We usually visit the LBS in Squamish on our way to Whistler but never tried the trails. I think @KnollyBro rides there often.
