Today I went for a ride. Had 71% left. Turned the bike off for 4hrs and then went for another ride and it was at 69%.
I was like wtf. Odd thing is I switched off the bike an hour ago and noticed my phone still had an active connection to the bike even though it was off. Should the bike still have an active Bluetooth connection to my phone even though it's switched off?

So it's been nearly 12hrs since my last ride. I just opened bluetooth and clicked on avinox and it connected? Bike isn't on charge it's just sitting in the garage.

Hi, @iXi ! When the control display is off, the Bluetooth module remains active in low-power mode. This allows the bike to maintain a connection with your phone, enabling you to start the vehicle through the app if needed. The power consumption of the Bluetooth module in this state is minimal and should have a negligible impact on the overall battery level.

This seems a little extreme, while I could see it being reasonable to keep the connection alive for 15 or 30 minutes after power down to speed up reconnection while on a ride after a stop a permanent active link is going to cause concern on a number of levels.
First of all it's going to cause increased battery drain on people's devices even if the impact on the bike is minimal. Secondly having a connection could also lead to increased theft of the bike.
Going even further Theives are known to track smart devices left in cars via Bluetooth and this same method could be used to locate bikes in storage.
There really is no good reason to keep a data connection via Bluetooth active after a sustained period of inactivity.
This should be revised.

You obviously have some great technical knowledge to share, but can we stop the endless dji/chinese bashing - or anyone else for that matter - it's a bike forum. yes, all bikes have concerns and issues - but a degree of rationality (possibly passion/stupidity - adjust as necessary) has to be employed or no one would have bought a single emtb !
So bluetooth stays active - that's kinda normal these days .. we accept it. My watch will go for at least 2 months without a charge and re-connect to my phone constantly - battery drain isn't an issue these days.
You might not have noticed, but your phone (or most peoples) has an active bluetooth connection, headphones, the list goes on - it's just normal !
Great, I can sit on my arse and connect to my bike to check data anytime I like. I'm fine with that ! If someone wants to follow my 10-20m bluetooth connection to follow me home, fine - they can freekin see me visually whilst they do that.
They're more likely to do that than drive around the neighbourhood looking for active bluetooth connections for bikes to steal before planning their Point Break theft - how slow are they going to drive - or are they going to use DJI drones to fly around searching for active connections ? Really - to steal bikes ? When there must be 1000 far easier ways !

I thought the bike used the bluetooth to notify of unauthorised movement/ alarm conditions if within range when no sim card is fitted. I might have remembered that incorrectly so might have to test it next time we stop at the pub on way back from a ride.
It is definitely used for bluetooth unlocking the same as my Tesla does and I wouldn't want to lose that feature in order to save a few mAh a week.

My heart rate monitor, cadence sensor, and damsung smart tags are "always on" Bluetooth and last months on a button cell.
If I was in the market for nicking a bike I'd just hang out in the car park at a trail centre and use the Mk1. Eyeball tech to spot rock shox or fox stickers, etc.

I'm sorry but no where have I mentioned anything to do with china here. My comments on the bike being tracked and tolen is based on fact as what happens as I lost 4K worth of cameras and gear last year due to a MacBook Pro constantly pinging Bluetooth while I was in Italy. While at your home these things are generally not an issue but sniffing cars, vans and storage lockups for connected devices is a very real thing and happens all the time.
You would be astonished how easy it is with just a phone and an app.
Many people travel and take their gear and this will is something that could catch people out.
As I stated there is no good reason for the bike to remain connected to Bluetooth when powered down for most people. Connected for th sake of connected is bad on anything.
As it's got a fixed battery you can't remove it to power it down so at the very least it needs to be an option and turned off by default.
I'm sorry as for anything else your reading what you want to read and nothing else iv said and I'm posting this from the experience of having it happen, spending hours in a italian police station and finding out what happened and having to carry the bill for it.
I keep my bike in a remote storage and this would be a deal breaker for me so my comments was to amflow to consider changing this with reasoning. Not anything else.

It's not uncommon if you didn't buy it from a particular dealer that they charge warranty costs, it's usually a nominal fee (£30 at my LBS) which covers a bit of time for them, they then put it through warranty. This is Orbea not Amflow though, but as i say, it's not uncommon.

in an earlier post it was mentioned that you use the wheel diameter and the speed sensor for the distance calculation...
Unfortunately, this is very inaccurate in real life... on a distance of 46km there was a deviation of 4km compared to the GPS measurement and map measurement.
It is understandable that different measuring systems produce different results, but the differences should not be so great. Please check your SW in this regard.
Furthermore, it would be desirable if you would give us the possibility to configure the wheel circumference in mm, as is normal with standard speedometers or speed sensors and sports watches.

The maximum load capacity is 125 kg, which includes the rider's weight, any additional items being carried, and the weight of equipment mounted onto the frame.But the weight limit for the KS RAGE-i dropper post is 90kg . . .

Are you sure as the air pressure chart pdf on the KS Website show up to 120kg?

Hi vikingshipwright! We understand your interest in using your bike on private property. However, we regret to inform you that the speed limit on the Avinox drive system is designed to comply with relevant regulations and Amflow does not provide a way to remove the speed limit.

Hey @Amflow_Support is there any chance you will integrate the bike directly with a garmin watch like what can be done with a turbo levo?
A requirement for me and many others to consider for purchase. More important due to recent Strava API developments.Right now, we're not planning to hook up Garmin watches with our bikes, but we'll let the team know about your interest and hopefully, we can make it happen soon! Thanks for the idea

One issue I have when doing long range rides, up to 100ks, is that when you need the power most, the last 2-3 ks home and you get to the 5% mark and the bike goes into some kind of low powered limp mode. Is it possible for the team to give the user the option to have full power all the way to zero % of the battery? That is what I have been used to with Bosch.

Was just going to try it, but I'll just ask....What happens if I set the wheel size on the app, to 27.5, but leave a 29 on the back? Theoretically, I would think, it should go a few more mph, or do you sense the wheel size somehow?
OR does setting it to 27.5, reduce the max speed as its set for 20 mph max, on a 29?
