What did you buy your ebike this week?

Postman Pat, DPD and Evri has came today with this lot 😁 after my crank arm debacle I decided to not trust to luck with this job so I ordered everything I thought I’d need, new 155mm crank arms, crank arm caps in red and removal tool, aluminium grease, chain ring retaining nut and tool, O ring and a 32mm socket, I’m now waiting for some new pedals as the old ones were seized completely solid and the Allen key socket is toast, oh well it’ll be sorted when they arrive 🙄

You didn't have any joy removing the old caps?

What a cracking tailor! Where did you get those pants made to fit you?
You mean the special mountain expert rider cut? When standing / riding left side to the mountain top it perfectly fits. Unfortunately you have to change pants when going the other way round.
I was to hectic to find whatever bike item purchase to get us all saved from the older men hair extraction experience. 🥸😉

By the way a question to the natives of Endura country. Do Scots have typically stilt legs or how comes Endura pants have soooo long legs? I tried the spray pants and latest version of humvee shorts,. Fitting well at waist and feeling great but about 2 - 3 inches too long. No Sir, I am not under tall! 😎

Gotta give the radials a try!
Ive been trashing Super Gravity Soft Compound Big Betty and Tacky Chan rear tires after 8-10 rides 😬…. Is that normal? My tires contact a lot of jagged lava rock.

Got a 27.5 rear wheel that had all the right stuff for a cassette and rotor swap and was equipped with a CushCore and superboost. So now I’m all mullet-ed.
I’ve ridden it some and can’t say with certainty that’s it’s better but I can feel the CushCore back there.

What does the Cushcore feel like?

21 front. 26 in the back. But yeah I like to run low pressures in the front. Better than my brother’s 30 all around. Idiot.
Did you find you didnt need as much pressure in your rear tire now that you are using Cushcore?

Bought 2 more High Roller 3's for wife and my bikes.

South Downs trails near us are getting so muddy (with far more rain on the way) that I'm having to retyre [sic] our bikes.

Last time out the front Maxxis High Roller 3's gave plenty of grip but the rear DHR2's got completely clogged. So will also put High Roller 3's on the rear and keep the DHR2 rears for when the High Roller 3's are knackered when should be much drier in late Spring.

After only 1 long-ish ride, I don’t have a good handle on pressure yet. The gang is going to Moab for 5 days tomorrow so I’ll have more experience on the whole rig then. I’m expecting that I’ll notice the 27.5 more than the pressure and the insert, but I’ll try to tease out an opinion on all of it.

Hmmm... Moab. I was reading another thread about the Land Managers considering opening up trails for emtbs as there were not that many available in the past. Have fun!

23 miles today with wife in South Downs muck and mud with dry patches covered with leaves, loose stones and flint, and everything else in between with rear High Roller 3 DH's and front High Roller 3 DD's.

No clogging, no loss of grip, and roll surprisingly well. Will probably leave fronts on all year with last year's front Maxxgrip Assegais and lightly used Maxxgrip DHR2's used for drier (summer) rear duty when the rear High Rollers are knackered.

Before and after pics using a process of minute ceramic spheres in a slurry with water that can be described as a soft sand blast. No damage to the threads or castellations on the crank. Didn’t even charge as it only took 5 mins. Impressive to say the least.

Remember these, just faffing around on these cranks…I purchased crank arm graphics from Slik Graghics but did not fit so I made the best of a bad job ( I received a credit note from Slik because they did not fit).To think I was going to throw them away.

I’m not a “sticker” guy but I really have to give kudos to Silk Graphics. Even though they’re across the pond they have delivered and made things right on one occasion.

Okay …okay, I’m a secret “sticker “ guy. 🤷‍♂️
