Bosch eBike Connect app issues
Since some time, the eBike Connect app of my Trek only records some of the routes I take, even if I start it before I start. On the entry screen it says that if my phone and my ebike's Kiox are connected "my eBike will be tracked automatically," but this does not seem to happen most of the time...www.emtbforums.com
@emtbPhilMine does the same
@emtbPhil
From the Bosch help site:
“We recommend that you leave your eBike turned off on the way to your car.“
Full entry here: My recorded ride includes straight lines for the stretches when I was not connected to the eBike (e.g. car ride) - why?
That‘s why I linked to the full entry:you have the alarm fitted you have to turn it on to put it in travel mode
I have a non-smart bike with the Nyon2 full GPS computer. There is no button to start/stop a ride. Activity recording is started automatically when you turn on your bike and start to pedal.just leave it like it was on the non-smart bikes where you press a button to start/stop a ride
Hmm, maybe you can change country / location on your phone. Anyhow, in my humble opinion there are no real upgrades that would be worth to hurry / force the update.Still on the 1.22.7 version here. Do you know if there is a way to force the update on Android?

The sooner I ask, the sooner it was resolved. It was updated during the night.Have you requested your phone to check for updates?

My app (and bike) was upgraded a few days ago, but I cannot really see any changes as I am not a Flow+ subscriber. I like the new statistics, but I am not prepared to pay for them.
My four currently selected modes are Eco, Tour+, Auto and eMTB. I might however try out Eco+ (to get something out of the upgrade), it seems more useful to me than Eco.
I read that once i got to the top of the hill, I reinstalled Auto instead.Sport is an older mode that EMTB replaced. From the Bosch website
Sport
Powerful support for universal use
more here Riding modes: individually adapted to you
- powerful assistance with up to 240 % of your own power
- for sporty riding in the city, e.g. for commuting, or for active excursions in nature
- ideal for eCity and eTrekking bikes
- individually adjustable via the eBike Flow app
There I got the info -5=50% of standard support +5=150% of standard support.“
I never knew that tour+ was up to 340% Even at max effort it feels nothing like the power of EMTBHello,
This is quoted from a german forum and might be of interest, partly based on a conversation with Bosch:
„…Question:
What is the maximum support of ECO+, without adjustments in the Flow app (performance/dynamics)
Answer Bosch:
The motor support in ECO+ mode adapts individually to the performance of the eBiker. The engine offers a maximum of 120% support.
Note. ECO+ is listed in the Bosch list below ECO, probably because the support is 0% with constant driving.“
Further conversation in that forum with clarification:
„Hello …. does this mean that your table for ECO+ with the entries +1 to +5 still has to be completely adjusted to 0-120?“
No, the table is correct.
120% is the maximum support at 0/0 support/dynamics.
The adjustment affects the level of support, as shown in the table.
This can even be tested "offline". The range calculated from the engine software changes with ECO+ when you change the support.
Specifically for me currently -5/0/+5 corresponds to 69/46/36km.
This also coincides with a request to Bosch about ECO+ to which there was no answer to the 120% topic, because in this context I also asked for an increase/reduction of the support levels in Eco+.
There I got the info -5=50% of standard support +5=150% of standard support.“

Some users report that they like ECO+ over ECO and it would use less battery than ECO.
I never knew that tour+ was up to 340% Even at max effort it feels nothing like the power of EMTB
TOUR+ supports from 60% to 340%, depending on rider input. This mode will need more rider input to reach high support levels than the eMTB mode which supports from 140% to 340%.I never knew that tour+ was up to 340% Even at max effort it feels nothing like the power of EMTB
I know that. What I am saying is at maximum rider effort say up a climb, they don’t feel equal.TOUR+ supports from 60% to 340%, depending on rider input.

I know that.
