New 12 speed Shimano derailleur, old one lasted 2,969 miles. Clutch not working properly, too much play, basically worn out. Gotta love West Sussex mud mixed with chalk dust, a lethal combination.

An SDG Bel Air saddle and a PNW Reach h/bars (10 degree back sweep 30mm rise) with about 20mm more back sweep and 15mm higher than the standard bars). So much more comfortable for me and on offer (the PNW bars that is) at PNW UK for £36. The SDG Bel Air is just the basic steel rail saddle, saving a few grams for the other rail options seems a pointless on an emtb.

Thanks for the heads up,

Just bought a set of bars myself, too good at the price and wanted to try 800 wide with 30mm rise for a while

I've cut mine down to 750mm, 800mm is to wide for me. The extra sweep and rise has definitely taken a lot of the weight off my wrists and feels like it's quickened up the steering (might be my imagination but the bike feels more responsive..less effort if you like).

I ride 780 at the moment, but would need to get a pipe cutter if I was to cut them down,

I don't see 1cm either side being much of an increase, but I may be wrong

Will have to head to ebay if I am for a cheap pipe cutter

If you have some open ended grips (or an old pair and cut the ends off) you can play around and find your preferred width BEFORE cutting the bars down. I used a hacksaw and a wrap of masking tape to give the saw blade a guide to cut up to, but you may be talle or longer in arm than me and 800 might be fine.
 
I do, but have just bought a pipe cutter from ebay anyway

Could probably do with one for the bike toolbox anyway
 
Forgot to mention this little beauty, it's a Sistema stainless vacuum flask , one large cup or one small mug for us in the UK (280,ml). Bloody brilliant! I was sick of paying for overpriced coffees when out and about I mean £4 at some places, they're taking the pee! Anyway it's one large-ish cup (1.2 normal cups) only 54mm (just over 2") in diameter and about 200mm (8") in length. Light easily packable, stays hot, doesn't taste of the previous drink (all ye olde vacuum flasks always tasted of the previous drink or three, mixed together). Only down side, no cup, so I pinched a small cup of another flask. To be in the middle of nowhere with a nice coffee is great (I only have at home a Tassimo...but only about 50p a cup or less for something decent-ish). Recommended. On Amazon.Uk for a tenner OR the 500ml version for 35p more! ( Yes seriously!)

New X01 chain came in earlier and made obvious that cassette was „done“ by the really poor NX chain.

The blue guide pin is hold by magnet. Did not know that the main tool came with a plastic plug on pin that might have done the guiding job as well.

A spanking new specialized 700wh spare battery from tredz, reduced to £810.
So far this year my bike has cost:-
Motor refurb £350.
210mm oneup dropper £210.
Ohlins shock service £170.
Freehub £30.
Total £1570.
And Ive ridden it 6 times.
Hopefully we are now finally turning the corner with the weather and my season can start.

Not a cheap hobby Ebiking . I'm glad I haven't kept a total of what ive spent. It will be five years in June that I've had the Levo. Only the Handlebars, brakes , battery and suspension original .
 
Bought a MY23 Rockshox Lyrik 160mm to try on my 2022 alloy Rail instead of the MY23 Rockshox 160mm Zeb bought in December 2022. Only one ride, but does seem to be just as stiff as the Zeb, and far more comfortable over small bumps. Saturday gonna give it some beans but can't send over 5' because my shoulders complain too much (left: acromioclavicular separation repair, and right: calcific tendonitis repaired) ...
