Coastal to Findlater Castle via Sunnyside beach , then up Bin and home . No Washy Washy biky today brilliant . Had to flee from some wasps . I'm thinking the tin of Sardines in Tomato sauce upset them got , stung in lug .

I don't know how many runs I have done on my Merida eOne-Sixty. But as at 13th May'24, I have done 2886 miles (4635 km) since 22nd Jul'21. I have had zero problems with the Shimano 630Whr battery and zero problems with the Shimano EP8 motor.

When I first got it, I could just about hear the clattering that some people complain about when descending. I soon forgot about and I don't hear it now. If I hadn't read about it, I wouldn't have been listening out for it and I may not have heard it.

The motor tuning available via the Shimano E-TUBE app is excellent and really makes a huge difference. When the display comes on and you put it in Eco, the range came on at 105miles (169km), but it now reads 96m (155km). Very approximately Trail is half of Eco and Boost is half that of Range, so 50m and 25m.

When it first came out this bike model got very good reviews and I agreed with them once I got the chance to ride the bike.

I myself have an eOne-Sixty 8000, today the mileage is about 12,000 km. The battery and the motor are fine, of course there is a loss in the capacity of the battery and the gears in the motor are the same worn out (I feel it), but everything works and the bike is really balanced! saddens, of course, the small power reserve relative to brose and bosch

It could be the motors, but I believe that it is much more likely to be rider weight (rider+kit+bike), differences in fitness, or wider and/or stickier tyres. And don't forget the impact of tyre pressures and the tread pattern on rolling resistance.

Well the journey continues, and Scotland really excelled itself today , spent the day at Glenlivet bike park, wow is all I can say , what a place , the views are awesome but the trails are in a league of their own. If you've not been you really should, from the excellent cafe , to the steep and rocky reds , the eye-opening blacks and the flowy blues this place has it all. I even tried the orange free ride , but at my age I was lucky to get away with it, you need some commitment to ride that run . Thanks Glenlivet I'll be back !!!

Well Scotland leaves me amazed again another big day in the saddle today, ride high up into the Cairngorms then back down and up to Rothiemurchus lodge and cut across to ride up part of the Lairig Ghru till it got a bit too extreme for me, hardest uphill ride I've ever attempted, so many pedal strikes!!!turned round eventually and rode back down which was awesome. Then up the next glen over to a loch with no way out , and back down again simply beautiful. Such a great country to ride in .loving Scotland!!

Im thinking Glen Feshie worth a look head past Achlean farm a couple miles the left up to Mullach Clach a Bhlair land rover track all the way up .Then you go back towards Sgor Goath and back down the single track or go back the way you came. Glen Tromie is in that area s well I heard that's worth a look.

Have you recovered yet Neil ? . The hill walk on the Saturday kicked in to legs after the Applecross cross ride . Walking up the brae to the campsite was heave. Next three days sore but all ok now and ready for more punishment next week.

Just about Col..rested for two days ..had a day at work yesterday and legs back to normal now ( or as normal as they ever are) ..
We are already discussing a Cairngorms trip for around the same time next year 👍🏻

Marvelous! 👍👍👍 To bad by this Scotland is ready to be listed as no go area as well, even if it still needs to improve a little with the weather. 😉

Appreciate the side details shared. Dealing in metrics and imperial units I learned that there is more miles than nautical, land and air miles: Scots Miles!

And remember the last mile is always the longest when walking , its a wee bit shorter when cycling but it can get longer if you're battery is dead 🤔 .
