Always take my Alpkit jetboil type stove on longer rides in winter so my cupasoup is piping hot. It's lighter than a thermos. It had a problem and wasn't working so after a mishap yesterday I had to get a wee Vango stove . It fits in to what I have left of Brukit so it's all OK. Nobody hurt or any damage done in the explosion miraculously.

I know that trackbuilders of the incoming Araxa UCI XCO WC race had the best intention when they put these vampire killer sticks on the track…
I just get a little bit scared of the consequences.View attachment 138743
Nah, they're fine as they are lying down. Now if they were sticking pointy side up, I would be worried!

Just curious as not having in my country. What are pink trash boxes for? Women only?

Haha. Pink is cans and plastic containers , Blue paper , green general waste. Brown grass and we have a small box for glass.
Do they all get tipped into landfill due to lack of funds for recycling?

Amazing how you get half a ride dry and then splurge the last mile your clartit in mud , I give up. Planning a trip to Glencoe area next week supposed to be dry with that High they keep on about.
Agree, have to know which areas to avoid. Basically, everything on slopes has drained and dried out OK but the dips in the flats haven't IYSWIM. In our area anywhere low near the river Lavant is a quagmire because the chalk South Downs are emptying like sponges and overflowing lower banks. Tried a route yesterday called the "Literary Trail" and doubled back rather than wading through mud, and water with sewerage because Southern Water are still pumping tankers of shit into the river Lavant. Have more pictures, but same as before so no point in posting the latest ones. 😞

Uk been very wet this winter going by everyone on here and maybe even globally ? . Only dry run I had in past 2 months was at Tarland trails it was great.
