Guys, so easy: Pale Rider
What does not kill you makes you stronger!Tarland Trails yesterday... a bit foggy in the morning, but turned out to be a lovely day. 27.4 miles, 5800ft climbing... and today, my body feels like it's been hit by a bus! Muscles I didn't know I had are aching

7 am start - no one else in the car park. I didn't see another human until about 8.30am when I went back to the car to swap over my Range Extender and have a snack. Maybe 4 or 5 cars at that point. Even when I finished up at about 11.30, there were only 15 cars. A big difference to last time I was there, where people were having to park offsite as the car park was full!

Up to the top, and the blue sky was visible. It gradually crept up to about 22°C, which was just fine.

Thanks! It’s a Jaguar F-Pace SVR.I like your car, what is it?
Me?! I only had a full fate (Trek Rail 9.9) for about 2 weeks and thought it had too much lower. Swapped it for a 2019 SL, and couldn’t be happier. I then swapped it for the 2023 model a couple of months ago. I ride it in my own Eco setting of 15/45 so I’m still putting a decent shift in. I can get about 40 miles on that setting without the Range Extender. Is that the 2023 SL ? Been considering one but wasn’t sure on the power and range coming from full fat, what’s your opinion?
Cheers for that, good to know, looks like it’s a contender based on those figuresMe?! I only had a full fate (Trek Rail 9.9) for about 2 weeks and thought it had too much lower. I was cycling around Horton in ribblesdale yesterdayI had an interesting day yesterday. Took the train to Ribblehead for an easy ride round Cam Fell
Then everything went pear shaped. My buddy’s chain jumped off, then we tried a short cut and met Mr Grumpy and his angry son who made turn round. Then I got a call about a family emergency and had to sprint back to make the next train, which had no room for the bikes. I got on and left my mate with both bikes to wait 2 1/2 hours for the next train
It all worked out in the end, except for the M-in-L who was finally admitted at 03.00

So you sometimes meet the ( Get off my Land ) types. Not bad where I am to be fair. But the looks I get from some walkers a lot of folk anti bike.I had an interesting day yesterday. Took the train to Ribblehead for an easy ride round Cam Fell

Don’t want to do too much today if I’m going to go round Heartbreak Ridge twice tomorrow.
Last time I felt exhausted on my second climb. This time I’ve got a range extender![]()
Taken the other night. With the temperature we've been seeing in the UK this last while, thought it easier to go out at night. Was brilliant fun.
I've ordered a torch for my helmet, as realised going through trees at speed with just a fixed one is, erm, interesting

Yes same Buckie just not used to it are we .I'm in Montrose, we're just not used to these temperatures
Went for a jolly round to St Cyrus and around today, just 20 miles. Think I've lost a couple of kgs with fluid loss .....
I'm not a small fella, that's not helping. But, I've never been a fan of the heat. I'm looking forward to the colder weatherYes same Buckie just not used to it are we .
