I'd go with a ratch system but, that does cost more money and you may feel it's not worth it or simple not feel the need to
I've been thinking of doing just this, but went with this as a quick option (and only £10) while I look into converting.

That said, when I looked into it in the past, I couldn't see all that many upsides to a ratchet system?

I can tell you simple put it just works better

Hello, i recently treated my bike to a set of zeb ultimates, an excellent fork, with best damping that i have had.

GX AXS kit for my Levo.
Because i "almost had to": new cable housing assembly apparently is impossible to do without dropping motor down.
No way to put new housing in place. Two hours i tried.

So i ride singlespeed until AXS arrives.😁

Cable housing is dead easy to push though on a Gen3. However nice upgrade 👍🏼

Apparently i had just bad luck; i've heard that is easy on a Gen2 also.

But on my Levo it was pretty tight to pull old one out. At that moment when i pulled it out i knew i was in deep troubles.😁

New cable housing was just impossible to push thru. Maybe there's somekind of dent or something on that nylon tube which runs above motor. 🤷‍♂️

Now look here young man. You've been around long enough to know you can't just leave it at that.
Well in truth what I've bought is a build slot.

A build slot for a Orbea Wild M-Team Custom 2024 build, custom colour and a few spec changes.
Once i get the rough delivery date I'll start with the wheel build and see what additional Bling to purchase. I must admit I forgot I had AXS on the Heckler, and apparently I'll miss that, I'm not so sure?

Oury locking grips, a tubeless tire repair kit, a 12 speed master link, some 20g CO2 cartridges, and a floor stand.

Pedaling Innovations Catalyst One pedals (black), bought from US web site and saved 25% (maybe got lucky because no duty/VAT charged). Huge platform, now tuned with less (10 each side instead of 18) but longer pins (supplied with pedals). Take a bit of getting used to but absolutely game changers, especially downhill! Can keep feet flat instead of effectively standing on tiptoe IYSWIM. Also dropped seat 25mm so lowered CoG when seated.

Borrowed that exact kit off a mate to do my frame bearings last week. Worked like a charm.

Does it count oi it was a gift?

If so, this is what my elder daughter bought me. I've always wanted one, but could never justify one as I wouldn't use it very often. Zoom in to see all the bearing sizes it will do.

Not quite the same, but similar theme… I got this today.

I’ve ordered the Industry Nine Hydra toolkit, some pawls, springs and bearings from my LBS to go with it. Probably won’t need any of them for a year… but I like to be prepared!!

Just installed the Schwalbe Big Betty in the rear and Magic Mary up front. Gonna give these a try. i
I was running the Continental Kryptotals front and rear. I liked the way they rode, but didn’t like their durability. If these aren’t good, I’ll go back to Maxxis.

MM/BB is good combo. Spesh Cannibal+Eliminator T7/T9 is better though. Both are better combos than Maxxis. At least in Finnish woods.
